SU Petite Pairs with Heartfelt Thanks

I love pairing up different stamp sets especially when I can mix the old with the new. I did this with the The Friday Mashup # 106 this week. I used a retired set and a current SU stamp set using the  SU colors Sahara Sand, Perfect Plum, and Wisteria Wonder and mashed it up by sending it to someone special, my mom. Although it has layers, I feel it is CAS with the stamped image so I am sharing it with Addicted to CAS #11 FLOWER.

  1. I love the colors on this card! I’m finding the older I get, the more I like purple. Great to see an older stamp set used – and one that I actually have!

    1. Thank you, Heidi. I confess, I can’t let go of any stamp set. I have always loved this one. I really like the sentiment with the set but it didn’t fit my design this time so I used Petite Pairs.

    1. Thanks so much, Tara. I just loved the colors this week- two shades of any color are fun to work with in creating a card. I sent this to my mom!

  2. I LOVE that you used the retired stamp set; I still have mine and I’m now inspired to dust it off! Thanks!

    1. Thank you, Kathy. Isn’t it fun when you see someone use a stamp your have in your collection especially when it’s an old one? I am always excited to get one out, I think that’s why I can’t let go of any stamps!

  3. Hi Cindy. Gorgeous color combination! Love the stamp with that looks like watercolor – so pretty. Beautiful layout and design (especially love that banner). Thanks for joining us at Addicted to CAS. Loll 🙂

  4. Cindy this card is absolutely lovely – the colour combo is gorgeous and these stamps work together so well. Thanks for joining in the fun at A2CAS for this challenge.

  5. What a lovely card, beautiful design, purple shades and framing. I like how you have photographed it on the spotted paper, very clever.

    1. Thank you, Sheila. I love polka dots- I was pleasantly surprised how the dots on the background photographed differently from the same ones on the card.
