I get together once a year with four other fun girls- Wendy, Julie, Amy, and Tracey- to exchange cards with each other. It is a wonderful time of eating, laughing, and “oohing and ahhhhing” over each other’s cards! We each have a theme to our cards like Masculine Birthday, Sympathy, or Thank You. My theme is Holidays so I am creating various designs of yearly holidays. I made this card with two sketches in mind…retrosketches #42 in a landscape position and an interpretation of Freshly Made Sketches #65 by also making it landscape to accommodate the “happy” and putting the banner to the left instead of the right of the focal image because I thought, “Who says: Fourth of July Happy?”
Card Recipe:
STAMPS: Fireworks by Stampendous Perfectly Clear, 4th of July by Hampton Arts/Studio G/Hot Fudge, happy-???
INK: SU Real Red, SU Yo-Yo Yellow and SU Brilliant Blue (both retired)
PAPER: SU Whisper White and same as inks above
TOOLS: Fiskars lacey scallop punch, Nestabilities Circles
So cute! Definitely a card worth celebrating! Thanks for joining us at FMS!
