Stampin’ Up MDS2 to the Rescue…

When I saw CASology’s # 48– Cue Word YELLOW- I could not stop thinking  of the yellow yolk of an egg! It must have been because I ate an egg sandwich for lunch three days this week- you know it’s quick and easy! So, I thought some more and came up with this little sentiment- but contrary to what my husband thinks, I do not have a stamp that says “So egg-cited for you!” I have a few Congrats stamps but none were large enough.  MDS2 to the rescue- I just designed the words for my card- printed two cards, cut out the CONGRATS and layered it with black over the one card. Then I drew a free hand egg white, cut it out, and layered black behind it and popped it off the card with SU dimensionals. I sponged the yolk with some ink and it  looks cool in person. Maybe someone will make a die/framelit for a fried egg someday…

  1. Egg sandwiches! YUM! 🙂
Love your take on this week’s “yellow” challenge! All the white on this, including the egg itself, is fantastic and I love the font of your sentiment!!
Thanks so much for joining us at CASology this week!

  2. what a clever idea, cindy! love the sentiment, too!! thanks so much for playing along with CASology!

  3. Very clever! Love that egg! Thanks so much for playing along with us at CASology this week!

  4. If this doesn’t win just for being the cleverest, that’s just wrong! I love all that white space and think it’s perfect for the “yellow” challenge.

Cindy, if you get a minute, will you come over and leave me a comment about what printer you use, or email me. I’m doing a survey. Thank you so much! xxoo Darnell
