SU Perfectly Penned

I mashed it up with a girly card with hexagons for The Friday Mashup # 113– Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice. I used the sketch from retrosketches # 67. Although the SU Tea for Two DSP is retired, the new SU Afternoon Picnic is its twin with new colors! Make sure to check it out…

SU Flowering Flourishes

I loved the colors at  Colour Q #192 this week but was coming up with a blank. I finally played around this evening and came up with this simple card- just some layering behind a great stamp from  the SU Flowering Flourishes set. Notice that I did put in that little splash of gray- in the brads and some eyelets- you can’t see in the photo but a the Certainly Celery peeks through the eyelets. It’s funny how the SU Soft Sky reminds me of Pool Party until they are side by side and then they are definitely different blues!

SU Love Ya Bunches

When I do a challenge, I ( like most crafters) try to use something no one else has chosen to do…so I take a real quick peek at what others have done to try to come up with a new take which is sometimes hard since we all play with the same toys! It is utterly amazing how many  stamps are out there, and most times everyone uses something different. So, I spent some time this evening playing with aquapainters and blender pens watercoloring  a wheelbarrow  trying to keep it CAS. Of course, I was thinking a wheelbarrow had not been used- and then see I overlooked Hannalie’s super adorable little wheelbarrow right before I go to post. Isn’t it just so cute? So, now you can see two little whimsical wheelbarrows for CASology #47 this week!

SU Simply Sketched and SU Because I Care

I mixed an old SU Hostess Set with a brand-spanking new Hostess set for The Dynamic Duos # 55 this week. This month marks the anniversary of my best friend’s daughter’s wedding day where we used hydrangeas right out of the yard for the centerpieces- it was a beautiful summer wedding. So, I thought  The Paper Players #148 challenge was spot on for this card as well.

It was really easy to get two colors on the hydrangea by inking a sponge dauber and applying it randomly to an already inked stamp. In this case, I inked the  SU Wisteria Wonder on the stamp first and then used the dauber inked up with  SU Raspberry Ripple to create a two colored flower. I used the luxurious  SU Satin- stitched ribbon with a ribbon slide to dress up the card.

SU Mosaic Madness

I just LOVE the new SU Mosaic Madness stamp set with coordinating punch and embossing folder. It even has paper to match as well.  There are so many cute mosaic stamps in the set. That is one of the reasons I love SU products so much!! I have been on a yellow kick lately trying to evoke sunshine…and since I have wedding for a swap (remember a card from last week?)- here ya go:

Item # 130249 Clear, #130246 Wood Mount

I drew inspiration from Laurie Willison’s beautiful card for the MUSE Card Club # 20. I loved Laurie’s bow but am challenged in that department so I did a simple one. Of course, I loved the yellow and used a triple decorative iconic focal image and layered panel like Laurie did on her card.
