I keep everything!

Yes, I am a stamp hoarder…really, I do not think I have ever let go of one!  And, I was glad when I saw The Friday MashUp # 124 this week- Lili’s sketch with a school theme. I have a current SU alphabet and a recently retired one but neither one was “schooly” enough for me. Alas, I had my old SU Alphabet Attitude Uppers and Fun Numbers circa 1998 neatly stored on the top of my wooden stamp shelf ! What about you, do you regularly purge or squirrel away stamps for just the right card?

SU Alphabet Attitude Uppers and Alphabet Fun Numbers

I used  the SU Woodgrain Background inked up with SU Baked Brown Sugar ink on the same paper , the pencil image from an unknown NBUS box–and a SU Brights Designer Button from last catalog. I was going to smudge up the blackboard but remembered how much I loved a squeaky clean chalkboard when I walked into class;)

  1. Wonderful card Cindy, nice crisp lines and colors!

Thanks so much for playing along with us at The Friday Mashup!

And I am a hoarder. I have over 400 SU stamp sets, a good chunk of those retired and I honestly dont need them but I know if I sell a set I’ll need it afterwards! LOL

    1. Thanks, Lisa. I completely understand…it’s not like they are perishable! I have the same feelings…someday, someone might want a card with an image on it or a certain saying with a word in it.

  2. Really cute card and your alphabet choice is perfectly “schooly”! I do keep all my stamps too, but when I started to pack things up for our impending move I realized maybe it is time to get rid of some sets. I had 5 large boxes of just the wood block sets, so some may have to move on soon; after I’m settled again.

    1. Thanks, Ms. Vilbaum (keeping in line with the school theme…lol) I may have weed out other crafting items so I can keep my stamps! At least I will be doing something, huh?

  3. Oh what a fab school-themed card! Love the blackboard with the wood surround and the pencil ‘sitting’ underneath! I used to keep loads of retired stuff but then necessity (i.e. space and money!) took over so I now sell almost everything that retires… There’s usually a couple of things I can’t part with (like Baja Breeze and Elements of Style!) but the rest all goes!
Thanks for playing along with the Friday Mashup this week!

  4. Perfect Alphabet for this challenge.. I used to stash away a ton of retired stuff, but I don’t have the room anymore.. I miss some of those sets when I see someone else use them. Thanks for joining us at the Friday Mashup.
