SU Fishin’ Around for the Kids

Anne Marie at The Paper Players # 163  asked participants to create a kid-themed card this week. I have been itching to use the adorable single SU wooden stamp Fishin’ Around. It is just tooooo cute! I have also had some treat cups for about a year crying out to be used. I have seen so many neat ways to incorporate the treat cups with the stamp- even the Annual Catalog has an idea of putting water in a sealed treat cup to mimic the fish bowl filled with water. I am going to try that someday but I had these fun little beads and thought they looked like treasure so I put them in the treat cup to be jewels coming out of the  chest in the stamped image.  I decided to use a tag with a bow and the bold focal point of the treat cup after seeing Marion Vagg’s card at the MUSE Card Club # 35 this week. I must say the hubby was quite taken by the concept and shook and shook the card like a ‘lil kid!

SU Fishin' Around

I took a bunch of photos but I can’t figure out how to take the picture to show that the button on the sentiment is indeed centered perfectly but looks like it is not. Hmmm….

I used Stickles for the gold in the chest and the bubbles in the fishbowl. The sentiment was created in  SU My Digital Studio.

  1. Great kid card – those treat cups make the best interactive cards – love the idea of the ‘treasure’. I know I would be too nervous to put water in there! Thanks for joining us at Muse this week, Cindy!

  2. Cindy, this is fabulous. I love the strong colors. The perfect little bow and the shaking jewels. No wonder your hubby had such fun playing with it!
So glad you joined the Paper Players this week.

  3. Oh my goodness….this is just adorable! I love the MDS sentiment, but the fishbowl on the Chalk Talk diecut is the BEST! So cute & clever, love it! Thanks for playing with the challenge this week!

  4. Cindy, this is darling! I love those multicolored beads and the “bubbly” background. So glad you joined us this week at the Paper Players for my “CAS Kids” challenge. 🙂
