SU Regarding Dahlias for the Friday MashUp # 130

For a while now,  I have played along with the wonderful participants at the The Friday MashUp Challenge site. I  have always loved the examples the talented design team displays each week.  I decided to apply when they had a DT Call. WooHoo…I am doing the happy dance because I was asked to be on the team starting in November! I am not only excited but also nervous. I hope I can inspire the players as I have been inspired week after week. Go on over and visit the site…the challenges are always so fun and creative. I hope to see you play along!

Here is my submission for this week’s Challenge # 130 where Tara asks us to Fussy Cut and Rip Something.

I used the SU Regarding Dahlias stamp at classes this week and thought it would be a reasonable one to fussy cut since that isn’t my strong point. So I set to cutting that gorgeous flower up and liked it. I enjoyed the paper tearing, too. It is something I have not done in many years, though it was one of the first techniques I learned  to use on a card around a decade ago ! This is a VERY clean and simple design, it just lets the Dahlia stand out. However, after seeing Amy White’s card (jaw drops) – I know that the Dahlia dresses up and struts her stuff so well- her card is stunning!
