I played around with some paper tonight to post a card for the Muse Card Club # 38. I surfed around looking for some colors to combine with the inspiration I picked up from the flowers in a container on Therese Calvird’s card. I decided upon the fall colors from Pals Paper Arts # 175. I also used the design from Freshly Made Sketches #107 with a focal point in the lower right corner;)
I pulled out some retired sizzlets and came up with this:
Card Recipe:
STAMPS: SU Tiny Tags
INK: SU Cajun Craze, SU Always Artichoke
PAPER: SU Cajun Craze, SU Always Artichoke, SU So Saffron, SU Very Vanilla
ACCESSORIES: So Saffron Brads
TOOLS: SU Cupcake Builder Sizzlet and SU Birds and Blooms Sizzlet (both retired), SU Bird Builder Punch, SU Stripes EF
Here is Therese’s card:
Fabulous card Cindy…I love pot of yellow posies, so sweet.
Thanks, Kim. I wish I could grow posies as well as my mom!
I love your pretty card Cindy – and the background looks great too – hugs xx
Thank you, Karen. I had to think a while to figure out how to do the background and decided on the Stripes.
Such an elegant design, the inked edges on the flowers totally make them pop!
Thank you, Therese. I guess it is folksy but dressed up at the same time;)
Stop it, Cindy! This could not be more adorable. What a wonderful way to use these colors. Thanks for playing along with The Pals Paper Arts challenge this week.
Thanks, Brian. I had fun with these colors! At first, I drew a blank then it came to me…
Great card, Cindy. Great little cluster against the clean and crisp background 🙂
Thanks, Anita. I almost left it unembossed but it looked too plain even though I loved the Vanilla space. Happy with the results in the end;)
What is better than Cajun Craze for a Terra Cotta flower pot! Great card! Thank you for joining us at Pals Paper Arts this week.
Thanks, Diane. I had a card on my shelf with Really Rust as a flower pot and it came to me that Cajun Craze is also a good earthy color to nestle some flowers in!
Wonderful dimension with the inked edges on these lovely blooms, Cindy … they’re fabulous against the embossed background! Anita 🙂
Thank you, Anita. I played around a while with the posies;)
Adorable, Cindy…clean and cute! You used the challenge colors perfectly. I’m so glad you played with the Pals at Pals Paper Arts this week!
Thank you, Ann. I had fun with the color challenge this week!
Great card Cindy! That is such a sweet little pot of flowers! Great colours choices! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
Thank you, Jen. The sketch really helped me with the design.
Beautiful Clean and Simple card, Cindy. Love the Stripes texture, a perfect background for your beautiful blooms.
Thank you so much, Debbie! CAS for sure. Thanks so much for the pick this week!
Love the warm colours and the little tag! Thanks for joining us at Muse this (last!) week, Cindy! (sorry I’m late!)
Ardyth, how do you keep up with it all? Thanks for taking the time to check in with me, sweetie!
This is so sweet, Cindy, and so impeccably executed!! Congratulations on the win at PPA!! Hugs, Darnell
Thanks so much, Darnell. I am a hoarder so I was glad I still had my little sizzlets!
