SU Boys Will Be Boys

I made another really CAS Birthday Card for LeAnne’s

Paper Players Birthday Challenge # 209 this week.

I just picked up three Blendabilities alcohol markers- Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, and Daffodil Delight and started coloring the image from SU Boys Will Be Boys. I must have subconsciously been thinking of Boys being Boy Scouts! To my recollection, these were the colors my brothers wore back in the day…

Card Recipe:
STAMPS: SU Boys Will Be Boys
INK: SU Blendabilities Alcohol Markers- Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, and Daffodil Delight, Memento Black
PAPER: SU Basic Black, SU Whisper White, SU Old Olive

I just love the sketched images of the timeless toys in the SU Boys Will Be Boys  stamp set. It makes me want to watch Toy Story yet again! I remember seeing Toy Story 3 when Andy goes off to college with my oldest son the weekend before he left for college. When Andy says to his mom, “It’s going to be alright,” I yelled out in the absolutely “could hear a pin drop” quiet theater, “NO, it’s not….” My kids still talk about that outburst of mine.

You will have so much fun coloring these images with the new SU Blendabilities:

Enjoy some stamping today, friend!

SU Amazing Birthday

A Happy Monday to you!

I played around a bit more this weekend since I had the house all to myself.  I got some cards designed for upcoming classes, penciled in some dates on the calendar, and made a few posts. It’s a good thing since this week coming up is a busy one- another road trip to Orlando with more items for my daughter who just moved to FLA for a job and more stuff for her boyfriend who is moving into his apartment to start law school in FLA this week.

I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches # 149 and the fun SU Amazing Birthday stamp set to create this colorful birthday card. I tried adding some embellies, but in the end,  I loved the CAS look of the colors against the Rich Razzleberry-I did not even border my pennants which is so unlike me. I am sharing it with the Paper Players # 209 since there is a Child’s  Birthday Theme this week-

Happy Birthday to LeAnne’s Cutie Patootie Cassidy!

I simply stamped it a few times in varying colors found in the SU Sweet Taffy DSP and cut out and popped up a few of the words. I just love Rich Razzleberry although Blackberry Bliss is competing against it fiercely for my favorite purply color…

Card Recipe:

STAMPS: SU Amazing Birthday
INK: SU Rich Razzleberry, SU Daffodil Delight, SU Tangerine Tango
PAPER: SU Whisper White, SU Tangerine Tango, SU rich Razzleberry, SU Sweet Taffy DSP

Don’t forget about the Weekly Deals!

Just a reminder of the Weekly Deals ending on Monday, August 18. I wanted share two videos developed by the Stampin’ Up Staff  showcasing  the Rosette and Petite Purse BigZ Dies that are at a 25% off discount. At this price, it is a great time to get them if you don’t have them yet…

Notice how you can create different sized rosettes with three different edges from one die? The fact that you can create a 10 inch diameter rosette for Memory Keeping Albums or a smaller one for cards and favors is super cool.

* Please note Emily shares paper from a retired catalog in the Petite Purse video.

Check out Google Images for a never-ending gallery of fun ideas for this cute little Petite Purse Die!
