Get out your straws, crafters…
Avery has a technique for us to try this week at the Friday Mashup # 179.
And…it comes with a Mashup challenge using the colors
Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, and Crushed Curry.
I was busy prepping for upcoming classes but knew I had to sit down and get my card done for this challenge! Much to my surprise..it was done in seconds with the help of the SU Just Sayin’ stamp set and its coordinating framelits. Of course, my toughest critic- my 22 year old daughter- said, “this is my favorite card you have made in a long time… I am not into all that fussy stuff.” Well, at least she was happy!
I do believe I will use this technique again since it is really easy and trendy. You could do a lot of different designs with it. I am really curious to see what is in the gallery this week. You guys and gals always amaze me with your talent.
Thanks for playing along at the Friday Mashup!
I absolutely ADORE this card. The simplicity is artistically STUNNING! It’s one of those “Why Didn’t I think of that!” cards. I definitely wish I would have thought of it and plan to use this idea and inspiration. Great job (as always) Cindy. But, I agree with your daughter, this might be one of my all-time faves too!!!
Oh – and tell your daughter I call that “froo froo and fussy fuss” stuff – LOL! You’ll see on my blog post today: http://lifeinbetween.me/2014/09/26/2183/ 🙂
Cindy, I love this! The colors, the stamp and the little candy dots. I will be trying this technique this weekend.B
This is a terrific card Cindy! The lines of color are bold yet take a background to the word bubble, its a perfect balance!
My daughter is my toughest critic also 🙂
Cindy, I love your card. It really allows the ink blowing technique to be the “star” of the card. Fantastic job!
