There is a new
Photopolymer stamp set out now!
Banner Blessings Item # 136720
Isn’t it just a wonderful stamp set? LOVE!
And there are some goodies on the Weekly Deals running
Tuesday, November 18 through next Monday, November 25!
Check out the 1″ punch, the Deco Labels framelits, and the Clear Oval Accents BigZ die, metal buttons, embossing powder, digital downloads, and ready cut paper to boot!
I used the 1′ punch to cut the squares on my Quilt card- you can use your trimmer but when you punch the squares- they will always be the EXACT size square each time.
I used the Deco Labels on these cards- and don’t forget the Paper Piercing Pack that coordinates with it, too!
On this card, I cut the die cut in half and bordered it:
And, if you saw this cutie before created by Jeanie Stark (posted by Susan Itell)- you will want to pick up the Clear Oval Accents Bigz die. That is why I want it!

if you have nay questions.
I started my morning playing with the ColourMe Challenge # 46 and the SU Star Framelits.
The star framelits are soooo cool! I used them on Christmas cards to cut out the SU Bright and Beautiful stamp set and loved how “professional” they looked. With the hundreds of cards in my stamp room, I had to make some Congrats cards on the spot this weekend when someone asked for some because I had none in my stash! So, now I have one waiting to be sent to celebrate someone’s good news thanks to the SU Bravo stamp set and the Star framelits.
You can easily die cut the stars and layer them or you can “inlay” them for another fun accent. I layered my white star on the Night of Navy star then, inlaid my Tangelo Twist inside the White star and finished it off by layering the Night of Navy star on the Tangelo star. I added a few simple scattered confetti stars from the SU Star Border punch.
I am running a special on the Star Framelits and the coordinating SU stamp sets
Many Merry Stars, Bright and Beautiful, and Be the Star.

Hope you all have a wonderful week ahead of you:)
11/18/14 Thank you, Sherrie, for the pick this week:)
Altoid, anyone? You will get one on this card!
Tara asked for an “unexpected” item on our card at the Friday Mashup #186. A stroll through my house revealed 4 Altoids just sitting on my living room side table. They fell out of a treat cup at last week’s class, and I just had not gotten around to picking them up. Empty nest and hubby traveling- who cares that there were 4 Altoids just laying around? I put them on my card to be snowballs- yeah, perfectly square snowballs…LOL
This week’s Mashup Challenge is:
Create a project using the “Sketch.”
Create a project using a “surprise element, something you wouldn’t expect to see on a card/or an unexpected embellishment.”
Mash it Up! and create a project “using the Sketch and a unexpected Embellishment.”
When the Blendabilities came out, I thought of this retired SU Snow Much Fun stamp set which was a bit of a challenge to jazz up but the alcohol markers made it a breeze to color!
I had to modify my sketch to the opposite side since my snowman was facing left but other than that…I Mashed It Up…what are you going to do this week?
Can’t wait to see your creation in the gallery at the Friday Mashup!
You made it over the hump- tomorrow is Thursday- one day from Friday!
I wanted to share a card we did at class a few days ago- a perfect example of being inspired by another cardmaker in Bloggerland. I just love turquoise (and had two packs of it!) so I revamped the inspiration card with a different color- turquoise. I also put a black border around the SU Back to Black DSP to frame it and make the DSP and the turquoise really pop. I used the same sentiment but put a pennant border on the right side.
Remember, it is okay to CASE or be inspired by a card,
why else are we looking at Pinterest all the time !?!
Here is Susan Itell’s sweet card in Strawberry Slush:
It is all Stampin’ Up and a THANK YOU card so it is going into the
Stampin’Up Only Challenges # 109 gallery this week!
