SU Bird Banter

January 17, 2018

I had to show you another cute card with the snazzy little birds from Bird Banter.
Of course, it was so fun to make because I LOVE the streakless coloring
I can do with my Stampin’ Blends!!!

My pinspiration for this card was a card by Australian demo Cheryl Miller.
I put my sentiment in the white space on the upper left while she put hers inside the square.

To make the card you just stamp the images on the white front panel. Then, you die cut out the square where the bird sits on the branch. Then you add a border to the square and pop in back in the square hole you cut out lining up the branch and the string on the balloon. It is simple but adds a great visual effect!

Remember when using the Stampin’ Blends alchohol markers, you need to use Memento ink so the inks don’t run together. Archival is said to work alright but I just go with the Memento since we carry it, and I know it works:)
In the photo below, you can see how the alcohol markers bleed through the cardstock.

So I just did my inside on a separate piece of Whisper White and then adhered it. Don’t make the mistake of thinking since it is a white card you don’t need an inside insert! Oh yeah, I did that and turned over the card, and saw how it bled through!  Of course, with a colored card base, it would just go right on.

Thanks for buzzing by, friends…
