I found these cards in some envelopes on my desk under a stack of stuff…does that ever happen to you??? And, I will leave no card unshown, for the most part…especially when I just had 5 classes in 2 days and one the week before with a ton of things to do…and am fresh out of posts right now….hahaha!
We made these cards on a virtual Demonstrator event in June. I got to meet up with some of my sweet demonstrator friends who let me honorarily be a part of their FLA team:)) We were given the cutting measurements and then made the cards along with the virtual teacher (a real person, I should add, in case you are thinking of Rosie from the Jetsons!)
I changed up a little on the size of the components of the card above. I liked showcasing the beautiful Splendid Day Designer Series Paper as turned upside down flower pots. I always love a stamped card base! I think the sentiment would have looked nice if it were embossed in white instead of stamped in black.
Of course, if you follow me…you know I do try to avoid abstract coloring so this one was a hard one for me but it turned out ok…ehhh..well just ok. I scribbled Stampin’ Blends over the panel on the card and added the other components. I think it should have had a Pool Party card base since they had us use that color of blends on the panel….and then the leaf dies could have still been Soft Sea Foam to tie in with the color of the ribbon. I just feel the scribbled Pool Party Blends looks out of place. Just my opinion, of course, it is easier to change up a design we see than make one sometimes!
Thanks for buzzing by, friends…
