Heidi’s challenge this week at the Friday MashUp #159 involves stencils and retiring stamps.
Here’s your Mashup Challenge:
Create a project using “Stencils.”
Create a project with a “Retiring Stamp.”
Mash it up and create a project with ” a Stencil and a Retiring Stamp.”
I looked up the definition of stencil and found this:
a thin sheet of cardboard, plastic, or metal with a pattern or letters cut out of it, used to produce the cut design on the surface below by the application of ink or paint through the holes. So, I made a stencil for my retiring stamp from SU Hearts a Flutter that is on the Weekly Deals this week! I lightly sponged Coastal Cabana ink inside the stencil made from the SU Hearts a Flutter framelits after I stamped the fancy scalloped heart in Real Red ink. It gave it a nice soft feel to coordinate with the distressed look of the stripes from the Fresh Prints DSP.
STAMPS: SU Hearts a Flutter, SU Itty Bitty Banners
INK: SU Red Red, SU Coastal Cabana
PAPER: SU Fresh Prints DSP, SU Crumb Cake, SU Whisper White, SU Real Red
ACCESSORIES: SU Coastal Cabana Ruffle Trim Ribbon
