Ever pick up a stamp set, Designer Series Paper, or a new product that you just LOVE and draw a blank when it comes to creating something? That sometimes happens to me…that’s when I turn to Pinterest, Google images, and…the Stampin’ Up! Catalog! Look at the back page of the current Mini Catalog, and you will see this card:
I used the catalog sample card as my inspiration when I created my card below:
I stamped the images for the flower and the leaves from the Painted Poppies stamp set on the Pool Party card base with Pool Party ink. Then I die cut a Stitched Rectangle Die and stamped the Highland Heather, Flirty Flamingo, and Daffodil Delight watercolor splotch images. I layered the white poppy die cuts from the Poppy Dies over the splotches and added a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set that I embossed in white. I tucked a few die cut leaves under the sentiment, too. To accent the black label, I added the pretty swirly lattice die cut on the left side of the rectangle and some retired black rhinestones.
In the end, a simple card to make when I had the inspiration from the catalog! Please don’t ever feel that you are any less creative if you get inspiration from other cards you see or catalog samples. I believe we are all in this together! I am ever so thankful for all the resources out there to spark my creativity.
Thanks for buzzing by, friends…
