July 20, 2022
I know it’s summer but I had fall on my mind the last couple of 97 degree days…I played around with the Color Blocking Technique with autumn colors of Merry Merlot, Pumpkin Pie, and Crushed Curry with Kraft, Soft Suede, and Early Espresso neutrals.

I made a video showing some new products in the Annual Catalog and the July-December 2022 that I used with the Color Blocking technique.
The first step with all of the cards is creating the color block by taping the strips together. Each color was 1-3/4″ x 4″ so you can trim them to what you need.

I used one of the Fancy Frames Dies to cut out the leafy frame from the color block and adhered both pieces to a Kraft Notecard. I also added a Leaf Label and some Amber Gems. I made one card portrait and one landscape. I love how the Fancy Frame fits beautifully on a naotecard! Note: the Kraft Notecards come with 10 cards and 10 envelopes not 20 of each.

I also made a color block and adhered the tree die from the Stampin’ UP! Perched in a Tree over the color block. I added some leaves from the Aspen Dies and some more Amber Gems. The tree oval die cut is on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Soft Suede cardstock.

I also ran a color block through the NEW Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder through my machine and added some leaves from the Ranunculus Dies. The one on the left with a sentiment from Best of Occasions stampe set is on an Early Espresso card base. The card on the right with a sentiment from the Perched in a Tree stamp set is on an Evening Evergreen card Base. The Color Block is 3-3/4″ x 5″ bordered by a 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ Very Vanilla panel.

Just some quick and easy cards to use this fall with a bit of fun color added to them:)
Thanks for buzzing by, friends…
