SU Polka Dot Pieces with Hardwood Background and Itty Bitty Banners

I love when SU makes stamp sets to coordinate with my existing punches! I used the Bird Builder to punch out this fresh little birdie from the SU Polka Dot Pieces stamp set. And I thought, hey- why not a pretty posie to go along with it? I used the colors from Pals Paper Arts # 206 to create this card with the SU Hardwood “BACKGROUND” stamp that Stampin’ Up Only Challenges # 98 is asking us to use this round.

I popped the Hardwood background off of the Baked Brown Sugar panel on the So Saffron card base. This gave some added dimension to the card. Before I adhered it, I punched out the branch, wing, and bird out of the Baked Brown Sugar CS since you won’t see that when it is covered up!

  1. His Sandra, I just looked at all the cards in this challenge and picked yours as my favorite. I sent it to my friend, as she would love it too. Then 20 minutes later . . . you are chosen by the team. Congratulations!!! I love this card and can’t wait to CASE it. 🙂

  2. This is adorable Cindy!! Love the colors, the use of the Hardwood stamp for your background as well as your cute bird! Thanks for playing along with us at SUO Challenges 🙂

  3. I love the negative space that you created with the punched circle in order to highlight the other stamped and punched images. Just love the Hardwood stamp as the main background feature. Thanks for playing along at SUO.

  4. Love this card. I smiled as soon as i saw it. I love the negative space of the entrance, the colors, the paper piecing of the bird. This is a really great card!
