SU Build a Birthday Washi PP

I just taped the Cherry on Top Washi Tape inside the bottom of the card for perfect coordination with the paper on the outside!

SU Build A Birthday Inside Washi

I made this card using the fun NEW Build a Birthday stamp set. I am sharing it with everyone at the The Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #247.

I used BIRTHDAY, WASHI TAPE, AND DIE CUT for my Tic-Tac-Toe.

SU Bravo with New Bohemian DSP and Boho Chic Embossing Folder

May 29, 2015

You saw that fun Bohemian Designer Series Paper on my Paper Share Post– You can see it HERE.  I wanted to showcase its rich, vibrant colors with this Congratulations card- perfect for the graduation parties coming up really soon!

I LOVE a paper with a ton of colors to play with- this one has Bermuda Bay, Blackberry Bliss, Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry, and Delightful Dijon with Very Vanilla as its neutral base on some of the papers. The new Delightful Dijon color is making my sorrow of losing More Mustard a few years back a little less severe.

SU Bravo Bohemian

My first step in making this card was using the NEW Boho Chic embossing folder on the front of the card. I stamped the sentiment with the SU Bravo stamp set.  My Stampin’ Write markers worked perfectly to do a little sprinkling of dots to jazz up the sentiment a bit. Since it was a photopolymer, I actually cut the stamp apart so I could use multiple colors without having to mask any words! I cut it cleanly without trimming so it would pop right back together again when I want it whole!

I cut the banner with the new Triple Banner punch that can cut up to 2″- I will be using that a lot for sure! Various stars were cut out with framelits from the Star set- big one, the Scentsational Season (retired)- smallest one, and another medium sized one, I can’t place right now.

SU Bravo Bohemian Inside

I  also used the SU Bravo stamp set for the inside sentiment. You can just stamp the words or add  a simple pocket holder for a gift card or money.

The  inside bottom was decorated with stamps from the New SU Bohemian Borders stamp set. I am very excited that Stampin’ Up designed and created a DSP, an embossing folder, and a stamp set that coordinate!

Getting excited…..We can order soon- JUNE 2!

SU Zoo Babies with Teeny Tiny Wishes

May 24, 2015

Big Day at the Brumbaugh house today- oldest son is moving back to Orlando for a job, and we are doing the final walk-through for his condo closing today, and we are also picking up the keys to my daughter’s first apartment only about 10 minutes from her big brother. You know what that means? Yes, I will be moving them in for the next week! But before the chaos starts in a few hours, I wanted to share a baby card I played around with yesterday using the colors from ColourMe Challenge #72 this week.

I finally used my SU Zoo Babies stamp set – oh, it’s so cute! I paired it with the ever so useful SU Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set as well. A used a 1 3/8″circle punch to punch out my animals and bordered them with a 1 1/2″ circle framelit. I added a few little pennants cut from the Banner Framelits for the sentiment with a cute little heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents trio of punches. My DSP is 2″ x 5″ bordered by  2 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ cardstock. This is an easy sketch to play with- try it with some other images- send me a photo of your work if you do…I love it when you do that!

To finish it off, I place a  few candy dots in the challenge colors- Bermuda Bay, Pear Pizzazz, and White (neutral) on the So Saffron card base. I used a nice Bermuda Bay print from the SU Brights Collection Color Stack- I can’t wait to get the new color stacks- they are so trendy.

I wish I could have used all the animals in the set- just look at that Giraffe, Elephant, and Rhino! Of course, I can’t leave out the sweet little monkey and toucan:)

Sneak Peek SU Happy Birthday, Everyone with Blended Bloom

May 20, 2015

I finally have a sneak peek of some new catalog products for you…I have been letting you all focus on the retired list and the awesome current SU catalog. Though by now, many of you have received your NEW Stampin’ Up catalogs and probably have spied this bold new Hostess stamp set, Happy Birthday, Everyone. I LOVE IT!!! I used with the new SU IN COLOR Watermelon Wonder ink and the 1″ Dotted Lace Trim along with the SU Blended Bloom wood stamp.I placed the Watermelon Wonder Dotted Lace Trim differently on each card…I like the top one with the black peeking through but then I like the sharp black contrast on the bottom one, what about you, which one catches your fancy?

I punched a 7/8″ scallop circle and placed it behind the Vintage Faceted Button

to add a touch of Watermelon Wonder cardstock to the card.
