Doesn’t this card just scream summer! Up north, it is on its way- down in Florida, it is HOT!
I was inspired by the card on page 146 of the NEW catalog using the SU Colorful Seasons Stamp Set.
I used the new Color Theory Designer Series Paper (the ombre pattern) as the background.
My friend Linda taught me not to leave an image hanging so I grounded the chair on some sand created with an image from the SU Sheltering Tree stamp set. My sun came from the SU Wherever You Go stamp set- I love how it spans across the top of the panel:) A few scattered gold Metallic Enamel Shapes finished off the card.
Let me tell you, this is just a simple card made from this awesome stamp set…
so many images and framelits are included in the bundle.
It will be fun to use all year round for so many occasions!

My first card with the New IN COLORS 2017-19!
I created a cardstock color block to show off the colors from top to bottom: Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink, Berry Burst, and Fresh Fig and the ink colors going in the opposite direction from right to left.
On the card above, I inked up some circles from the SU Happy Celebrations stamp set and stamped the sentiment in black on top of the circles.
On the card below, I debossed the word celebrate from the Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. What is debossing you may be asking yourself? Think of the opposite of embossing. When You stamp the circles, the ink does not go into the debossed word. I am still getting the hang of how much prsssure to use so I have a few splotches on my circles:(
The stamp set is bundled with the two embossing folders until the new catalog comes out.
After May 31, the bundle will be split up. Check out the stamp set:

Notice the photo is showing the back of the panel…imagine it turned over:)

Don’t let this cute stamp set get away! I think the SU Perfect Mix was the first set in the Occasions catalog that I just had to have…it is just so clean and cute…however, it took me until Retirement month to play with it in class with my awesome stamping group!!!
It is a “perfect” stamp set for Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, or a just because card for a friend.
My girls chose their image and sentiment, cut the scallop borders from the black cardstock under the DSP, and covered up the holes with the DSP. They wrapped three different pieces of 6″ black baker’s twine around the front panel and adhered it to the Whisper White card base. Cute images/sentiments were stamped in black and accented with coloring with the Watercolor pencils. Of course, the images were die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. It was a quick and simple card after making this card and this card that had a bit of die cutting and stamping involved…heeheehee.

Mother’s Day is just a week away…time to get that Mother’s Day card done! If you have the SU That’s the Tag bundle, you are all set…if you don’t have it, you can get it now for a discount as it is retiring!
Yes, the bundle has been split so you get it for even a better price buying the thinlits called TIMELESS TAGS and the stamp THAT”S THE TAG separately.
Check it out HERE and HERE.
I cut out a black daisy from a 3 1/4″ black square. I also cut out a yellow daisy from a 3″ yellow square and saved the middle of the flower. I glued a white piece of cardstock between the black and yellow square. I inlaid the black daisy cut out inside the yellow oval against the white cardstock. I glued the yellow middle into the black daisy. I also cut out the green leaves using the same daisy thinlit and inlaid the leaves into the black daisy. You could also die cut a blue sky to go around the daisy!
I die cut the butterflies out of some black card stock and glued each one onto the yellow square and added some pearls. On the inside, I just die cut the butterflies on the white and used the negative.
A simple card with a WOW but a little die cutting and puzzle piecing for you to do:)

Oh.my.goodness…I almost overlooked this super fun stamp set!
It is so easy to make a really festive card!
You just stamp the cake layer images, overlay some of them and voila- instant fun!
And, it not only has images but also WORDS to play with, too!
You could even mix and match the words and cake layers.
A great way to finish off the inside is by punching out some candles with the Candle Border punch.
