SU High Tide meets Colorful Seasons Bundle and Color Theory DSP!

July 13, 2017

As I was playing around with the Colorful Seasons Bundle and the Color Theory DSP, I saw a lot of stampers were mixing it with the SU High Tide Stamp Set. They really do pair with each other very well. I designed  this card using the Dapper Denim ombre pattern in the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack.

I die cut the adirondack chair from Real Red cardstock using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits to add a pop of color to the blue scene. To ground my chair, I added a 3/4″ x 3″ strip from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack. After I stamped and die cut the lemonade, I added some Clear Wink of Stella that is really sweet in real life! A So Saffron Stitched Shape Circle brightened up the card but was a bit toned down than Daffodil Delight.

I really love this card, what about you?

SU Colorful Seasons with Color Theory Designer Series Paper

July 5, 2017

This new Color Theory Designer Series Paper is so fun…only one problem…

I wish it came in every color!!!

My next few posts will show you some cards using the different patterns found in the Color Theory DSP. I am showcasing the versatile SU Colorful Seasons stamp set and Seasonal Layers Thinlits, too. All of the cards in this series use a 3″ x 5-1/2″ piece of DSP bordered by a 3-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of coordinating cardstock on a portrait A2 card.

Here is a Christmas/Winter card that I added a Christmas Sentiment from he SU Hang Your Stockings stamp set. I love how the crackled pattern resembles cracked ice:) As seen above, this pattern comes not only in Dapper Denim but also in Crushed Curry, Old Olive, and the new Berry Burst!

SU This Little Piggy

June 30, 2017

Just a quick and simple little card today.

I wanted to play with the new embossing paste, and this was my first attempt!

I was inspired by Nance’s sketch at The Paper Players Sketch # 350.

I added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the paste after I put in on the card- maybe a little too much glitter….

it looks like it is our Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, huh?

The Embossing Paste is so easy to use! Here is a SU video showcasing how to add  Embossing Paste to your cards:

SU Oh So Eclectic for Creating Pretty Cards Challenge #72

June 26, 2017

Hey there! I finally got around to playing with Monika’s sketch at

Creating Pretty Cards Challenge #72 at Craft Project Central.

I have to say it has a lot of elements but in the end, it all came together:)

I used the SU Oh So Eclectic Bundle to create the focal point and used up some scraps of Color Theory DSP.

I loved how the solid flower stamp goes beyond the lined image stamp of the flower –

no white outline when die cut. See what I mean? Nice touch, I think.

I only used a simple stamp and die on this card but there are some other REALLY cool things in the bundle!!!

Take a few minutes hear what Shannon West from the SU office has to say about the Oh So Eclectic Bundle:

Happy Birthday, Gorgeous Bundle

June 14, 2017

We had our Annual Catalog Kick-Off Luncheon/Dinner last Saturday and Sunday. We made three cards, fueled up with some food, and made three more cards. It just blows me away how blessed I am to have all these crafty ladies in my life! Thank you, Stampin’ Up for bringing us all together!!!

Here is one of the cards we made using the delicious new Berry Burst and Lemon Lime colors:)

It is hard to see in the photo, but I embossed the white panel with the retired Polka Dots EF. Any embossing folder would add texture to the card, though. I just could not get my paws on my new OH MY STARS embossing folder at the time…lol. Isn’t that new self adhesive In Color Itty Bitty Bow just too cute?!?! And, we tried out the new adhesive sheets on the Happy Birthday thinlit which was easy peasy!

Look at these cute little images on the inside, too!

I love that the Happy Birthday thinlit is a stand alone item, but the stamp set it is bundled with at a 10% discount is awesome! I love the variety of sentiments, the balloons, flowers/leaves/stems, and the little tassel and bow:) I say it’s a little bit of everything! And, of course, many of us need that “belated” sentiment from time to time…
