SU Christmas Pines

November 11, 2016

Here are two more great swaps I got in Atlanta. The first one was one I made from a shoebox swap- you go to the table, get in the box, and make the card on display- it is really fun! You can see the one I made for others HERE. I just do not know who created this card. I do not remember a name associated with the swap as I took photos of other swaps with names displayed with them.  So, if this is your card- please, please comment so I can give you credit!!

I truly loved the white on white design of this card. Layering the Gently Falling panel with the oval cut out over the Woodland embossed panel was lovely. I thought the pine boughs die cut from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper was a great element as well. The pine cones and the bird and bow just stand out against the white base. I will add that the designer did sponge the birch trees in Soft Suede but I knew I would mess it up so I just went with white and added some Wink of Stella to my trees:) Her card was really neat with the brown trees though!

I really liked the one below by Pat Brown as well. The Gold Foil die cut pinecones are so elegant with the Red Glimmer Paper bow. The Pine Bough embossing folder is just a fabulous tool to dress up a background- a must have for holiday cards! Add some Candy Cane Lane Designer Series paper with some Real Red 3/4″ Stitched Ribbon, and your card is done! I really liked how she left a 1/2″ border around her white panel, too:)
