Stampin’ UP! Leaves of Holly with Decorated Pines Dies

December 12, 2022

My girls made a fun 9″ x 9″ framed home decor gift last week at our Product Class. Here is the piece that fits inside the 9″ x 9″ shadow box frame. We put it in a white frame but I think any color would go well with the colors in the project. We used the Stampin’ UP! Leaves of Holly Bundle and the Decorated Pines Dies that are 50% off now on the Last Chance Products List!!

I cut a large circle about 5 inches wide with a smaller circle inside it out of Evening Evergreen card stock to build my wreath on. I had some off brand dies that were larger than my Stampin’ UP! ones. My suggestion is to find two objects in your home that fit inside each other and trace them on the cardstock- maybe a saucer, large can, oatmeal container….you will find something. You can then cut around the larger circle and then snip through the larger one to get to the smaller one and cut around it. You will be layering the pine boughs from the Decorated Pines Dies over the circle so it essentially is covered up allowing the circle to be a background. I used the Heart and Home Designer Series Paper as the backdrop- it’s on the Clearance Rack now!

I put the holly leaves in each corner with some bling of gold on the berries. I pulled the gold into the middle as well. The ribbon is a retired Cherry Cobbler Shimmer. I put two layers of dimensionals under the wreath and pushed the ribbon up and put a dimensional under it to make it kinda 3D.

Measurements: Basic White: 9″ square, Cherry Cobbler: 8-1/2″ square, DSP: 8″ square

Stampin’ UP! Sending Smiles with Pretty Prints DSP

December 9, 2022

I had some of lovely strips of the Stampin’ UP! Pretty Prints leftover from another project so I used them on this card.

It as easy to use 1″ x 3/4″ strips to create a 3-3/4″ x 5″ panel to fit on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White that sits on an A2 size card. I find myself using preferring to border DSP and white was perfect with the darker colors. I added a layer of vellum to add something to the card other than just the sentiment which really is stunning with the Sending Dies, don’t you think?

I pulled the same strip motif inside the bottom of the card but putting 1/2″ x 1″ pieces together across the bottom. Now, the best way to do that would have been to make the outside panel 4-1/4″ x 5″ and then cut off the strip on the 4″ side to make it 3-3/4″ x 5′. But if you can do it with little scraps and put a border strip on top to finish it off nicely:)

Stampin’ UP! Kindest Gnome Dancing Video Tutorial

December 7, 2022

Here is a cute little trick I saw online to make a dancing gnome using the Stampin’ UP! Kindest Gnome Bundle:)

I used the Storybook Gnome Designer Series Paper to die cut the fun little gnome home on the inside of the one above and used the Stampin’ UP! Rings of Love Designer Series Paper from the last Sale-a-bration on the front. I used the Stampin’ UP! Ringed with Love stamp set to stamp the mushrooms on the inside of the one below. I used sponge daubers to add a bit of poppy to the mushroom caps.

Thanks to Kate Morgan and Susan Campfield for the inspiration:)

Here is a quick look how to make the swinging legs on the gnome.

Since the legs have are not attached to the card, they swing back and forth!

Measurements: Card Base: 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ on the 11″ side, Evening Evergreen and inside White panels: 4″ x 5-1/4″, DSP cut as seen in video: 4″ x 4″, Basic White strip for sentiment: 7/8″ x 6-1/2″

The Gnome Dies are carrying over with a new sweet stamp set but don’t forget to grab the Stampin’ UP! Kindest Gnome Bundle and the Storybook Gnome Designer Series Paper on the Last Chance Sale since it will be leaving !!!

December 5, 2022

Here is a quick little gift you can hand out to some of the people you want to treat over the Christmas holiday. I used the Stampin’ UP! Sweet Candy Cane Bundle to decorate this simple pocket fold. I also suggest sliding in a real candy cane to stir the hot cocoa, too!

You can watch a video that I made a while back to see how to make one!
