Stampin’ Up! Double Gatefold Card Video Tutorial

May 13, 2020

Have any DSP lying around? LOL..I know you do!
A Double Gatefold Card is a great way to showcase that hoarded paper! Give it a try…

I was inspired by two cards you will see in the video made by my friend, Linda Heller.
So easy to do…check it out.

I love the Parisian Dies- the word “merci” and “amour” are wonderful with the Effeil Tower die. What about me saying “amore” in the video! Mixing up Italian with French…lol. But then, I did mix French on the outside with the English sentiment inside!

Remember this card with the Effiel Tower on it?

The Parisian Blossoms Designer Series Paper is so lovely…especially this pattern:)

The Petal Pink and Pool Party are so pretty together.

Measurements:
DSP: 5-1/4: x 12″ scored at 2″, 4″, 8″ and 10″ on the 12″ side cut as shown in the video
Inside: Largest Stitched Rectangle layered with the Largest Ornate Layer
Belly Band: 1″ x 9-1/2″

Stampin’ Up! Ornate Style Bundle

May 10, 2020

I wanted to start your week with a lovely Mother’s Day Card I got from a dear friend of mine, Linda Mriso. She surprised me with this beauty! Isn’t it just lovely?

I love the purple and pink with the gold. The largest of the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Layers Dies is embossed with the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder with the gold frame popping of the light background. Lin’s great design included a gold heat embossed sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set along with the flowers from the Ornate Style stamp set so perfectly placed on the right corner of the Stitched Rectangle.

Did you notice she corner rounded the Stitched Rectangle on the gold frame? It is such a neat detail. She added a couple Gilded Gems, too.

I forgot to take a pic of the Mother’s Day sentiment on the inside…it was so sweet:)

Stampin’ Up! My Meadow with Special Celebrations

May 8, 2020

Happy Friday, Friends! Here’s a sweet card to brighten someone’s day!

The Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper is just so pretty, isn’t it…I wish it could stay but it is going away. My wheelbarrow is fussy cut and popped off the Nested Label. I used another great stamp set called Special Celebrations for the sentiment. It is retiring:(

Oops….

The item # for the Special Celebrations is #151396 since it is now a cling-
mine was not a cling stamp and had another item #.

A little DSP finished off the inside with a coordinating sentiment from Special Celebrations:)

Here’s another card I made…

Have a great weekend!

Stampin’ Up! By the Dock Bundle Easel Card Video Tutorial

May 6, 2020

Yeah, I kinda like the Stampin’ Up! By the Dock Bundle…this time it became an easel card.

I used Seaside Spray for my blue on this card and a bright green Granny Apple Green. I think it really worked with the Night of Navy Frame and the So Saffron sun. Believe me when I tell you I sometimes try a lot of different colors to see which ends up to my liking. Frequently,  I change it days later. I first had a Daffodil Delight sun but liked So Saffron better…no rhyme or reason…just liked it better. Do you ever do that?

Well, anyhoo, here’s a video showing how easy it is to make an easel card and some little tips using the Stitched Shapes and Rectangle Dies. Please forgive the shadows at the end of the video when my light went out…thankfully, the bulb was just loose in the socket. I should have just reached up to check it! But then it would have been hot… and I might have burnt myself…and my hands would have been compromised…and maybe I could not stamp for awhile…and we would not want that to happen!

So, what about the boat? Are you Team Crumb Cake or Team Real Red?

Measurements:
Card Base: 4-1/8″ x 11″ scored at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″ on the 11″ side
Night of Navy Frame: Largest Stitched Rectangle 3-3/4″ x 5-1/8″
Stitched Rectangle to die cut the grass and sky is 2-5/8″ x 4″
Granny Apple Green grass: 3″ wide  x  2-1/2″ tall
Seaside Spray sky: 3″ wide  x 4-1/4″ tall
Crumb Cake/Real Red boat: 2-1/2″ square
Soft Suede dock: 3-1/4″ square, inside: 2″ x 4″ for sentiment
So Saffron sun: 2″ square
Whisper White inside: Largest Stitched Rectangle 3-3/4″ x 5-1/8″, sentiment: 1-1/2″ x 3-3/4″

Stampin’ Up! Music from the Heart

May 4, 2020

I just don’t seem to use purple enough…
so I pulled out the Gorgeous Grape ink and cardstock on this one.

The Scripty Embossing Folder was a great addition to add around the Basic Black Scalloped Rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. The Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends marker matched perfectly with the Gorgeous Grape color:) A simple fussy cutting of the piano keys finished off the front.

Of course, before you emboss the 4″ x 5-1/4″ white panel behind the black scalloped rectangle, make sure to die cut the scalloped white rectangle you will stamp the piano on. Then you can emboss the panel with the rectangle cut out of it. A simple eighth note with a purple heart decorates the inside of the card:)
