When I saw Jaydee’s sketch for The Paper Players #155, I immediately thought of a tent card with a circle! So I took some liberty with the sketch and came up with this card:
Card Recipe:
STAMPS: SU Serene Silhouettes, SU Loving Thoughts
INK: SU Bermuda Bay, SU Soft Suede, SU Summer Starfruit
PAPER: SU Bermuda Bay, SU Soft Suede, SU Summer Starfruit, SU Whisper White
TOOLS: SU Stampin’ Dimensionals, Nestabilities Circles dies, CB Embossing Folder
I masked out the moon with a sticky note and sponged SU Bermuda Bay and SU Summer Starfruit ink onto my white paper. Then I stamped the image over the sponged ink with the masking removed so the birds would stand out from the stark white. To make the tent, I scored a 5 1/2 inch by 5 1/2 inch square at 2 3/4 inches. To make sure it will fit in an A2 envelope, place the tent on an A2 size card front and then place your circle on the tent keeping in within the parameters of the A2 size.
Wow, this is fabulous…a great way to make a “shaped” card without having to have a bigger envelope, plus you’ve used fun techniques as well! Lovely! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Paper Players this week!
