Liliana at the Friday MashUp # 132 has a challenge for us this week to use the color orange and leaves/trees in our card/project. Make sure you go over and see what the Design Team has created. We would love to see you play along this week…if you have never done so before- you will get hooked!
At my stamp classes each month, I prepare a 3-D project along with two cards for my gals. We jumped into fall the first week of October by creating this Autumn candle with the SU Autumn Accents Bigz Die and the SU Sweater Weather DSP in the Holiday Catalog. We pulled out all the colors in the DSP with the band going around the candle and the color of the leaves. We created texture with the SU Lattice EF, the twine, and the button. I used some pretty brown glimmery paper from a nearby craft store because it coordinated with the Chocolate Chip in the DSP. We placed a pumpkin scented candle inside to finish the autumn project.
It is a bit difficult to photograph a 3-D project but I think you can see that the twine goes around the band that is made of Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip, and the Sweater Weather DSP.
