SU Petal Palette Marina Mist

February 2, 2018

Happy Friday, friends!

I took a little liberty  with Cecile’s  Freshly Made Sketches Challenge # 322
and interpreted the sketch with an oval as the focal point on my card.

I also decided to share it with Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #135  “All You Need is Love.”

I used a soft yet bright at the same time color palette of
Marina Mist and Melon Mambo with Pear Pizzazz added in. Notice that this delicate feminine card has a blue chickadee, too! I colored the pearls in the middle of the flowers melon mambo using my Stampin’ Blends. I love how easy it is to color pearls and rhinestones with alcohol markers!

  1. I just love your cards and your variety of creativity! I hope to be able to spend some time with you in Atlanta, Haven’t seen you in Janet in a long time! This may sound silly, like I should know this, but would You consider this a WOW card with the layers or would there to be more… And what more, layers, embellishments, color?? Ann

    1. Awe, thanks so much, Ann. I miss you, too! Let’s make sure to sit together in Atlanta! I think this is more of a layered card. If I were to make it a WOW for a swap, I think I would do something like maybe that same design/colors/materials but pop up the oval with the bird on a panel like I did with the Country Livin’ cowboy boots card? Does that make sense?

  2. This is gorgeously clean and simple – you really chose wonderful colors as well! Thanks for joining Stamp Ink Paper this week with this design! 🙂

  3. Such a beautiful card Cindy! I just ordered this set after seeing some fabulous designs with it. Thanks so much for more inspiration with it! So happy you joined us at Stamp, Ink, Paper this week!
