I have an awesome fun fold technique for you today…a Storybook Fold…
an old technique but new for me!
It is not difficult at all… watch this video to see.
I used the NEW Ornate Borders Dies on this card.
The measurement for the inside folding mechanism is the same if you use Designer Series Paper or cardstock with DSP on it.
Isn’t it cool? It looks like it took so much time to do but it didn’t!
I tried out Petal Pink as my card base on this one.
I switched it up on this card and used Mossy Meadow as my card base.
I liked the contrast of the darker DSP with the Petal Pink border on this one.
Measurements:
Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ on the 8-1/2″ side
Folding Mechanism inside: 5-1/4″ x 8-1/4″ cut and scored as shown in video:
With 5-1/4″ side at top of trimmer- put left side at 1″ and cut down from 1” to 7-1/4” to create two 6” slits, turn the paper and do this on the other side, too. Then, turn paper so that 8-1/4″ side is at top of trimmer and score in between the slits at 1″ and 1-3/4″ on both sides. You will also score in between the slits at 4-1/8″ and outside the slits to the top and to the bottom of card base, you will score in 2-1/2″ from each end.
DSP on Front: 3-3/4″ x 5″, Inside: 2-1/4″x 5″ cut as shown in video for sides, (4) 3/4″ x 1-3/4″
Border around DSP on front: 4″ x 5-1/4″
Early Espresso Ornate Border Die is cut from a 1-1/4″ x 3-3/4″ piece of cardstock, DSP is 3/4″ x 3-3/4″
