SU See Ya Later Birthday and Sale-a Bration 2014 Reminder

Good Morning, everyone! I took refuge from the snow and played along with Freshly Made Sketches # 120 last night. I love the talent over there- the DT samples and all the amazing submissions each week are so inspirational! Creative genius Lesley Croghan has started yet another awesome site to inspire us complete with a star studded Design Team called The Card Concept. I decided to pop this card in the gallery under Challenge #2 “Clean and Layered” cards with “texture” added through paper piercing, the embossed pennant, and layers popped up with dimensionals.

I have been focusing on some cool SAB treats since SALE-A-BRATION 2014 starts on TUESDAY, January 28! Such cute stamp sets, DSP, kits, and embellishments available for each $50 purchase made through March 31st.

Check back on Tuesday to see the SAB 2014 Flyer!

Every year I think they can’t get any better and they end up surprising me! I absolutely love the See Ya Later stamp set with its four neat sayings.

Here is just one of them…

SU Perfect Pennants

It’s time for another fun Friday Mashup Challenge! Holly is giving us a chance to replenish the Birthday card stash we used up last year! And…she has challenged us to use twine on our project/card for the Friday Mashup #142.

I used the new SU Perfect Pennants to create my card. I like to “tighten” up the borders on the pennants so I created my own Smoky Slate pennant between the Very Vanilla one and the Raspberry Ripple one. I did this by die cutting one the same size as the Raspberry Ripple one and lining up the horizontal side up against my Stampin’ Trimmer and trimming 1/16 an inch off each size until I was happy with the size. Doing it this way keeps the pointy ends of the pennant uniform when lined up because sometimes my cutting skills are lacking when I try to  cut the banner points via scissors! Then I just line up my pointy ends and trim an equal amount of the pennant off the top.
