When I saw the retrosketches # 119 this week, all I could think about was Legos. Although my boys are 23 and 26, I have all their Legos packed for their kiddies some day. A friend of my husband kept all his boys’ toys packed away for his grandchildren and pulled them out when it was time for them to play. I knew after the investment in every set- Star Wars, Pirates, Construction Vehicles- it would be a smart idea to keep the Legos with their instructions packed away. It was pretty easy. However, my daughter’s Barbies never got the same treatment- she just gave them away one day!
Here is the card I made to save for a little guy someday
or maybe….for one of my big guys’ birthdays this year!
I really like the SU Word Bubbles Framelits but think they need to be on a certain kind of card. I think one fit perfectly on this card. Popping it up off a solid colored cut out really gives it dimension.
Card Recipe:
STAMPS: SU Remembering Your Birthday
INK: Memento Tuxedo Black
PAPER: SU Basic Black, SU Real Red, SU Daffodil Delight, SU Pacific Point
TOOLS: SU Itty Bitty Punch Pack Circle, SU Word Bubbles Framelits
FYI: My Legos are 1 3/8″ by 2 1/2″. I just staggered them on my card base.
