Bokeh Technique with SU Little Letters and SU Papillon Potpourri

Thank you, Holly for an awesome Friday Mashup # 174 Challenge this week! I just loved it! Normally, I run away from watercoloring but you made me face my fears straight on with this technique. To be truthful, I faced my fears a few times as I filed them in the trash bin…

Here’s your Mashup Challenge:
Create a project with the “Bokeh Technique.”  Link to technique here.
Create a project with “Die Cuts.”
or
Mash it Up! Create a “Bokeh project using a Die Cut.”
I have to admit…sometimes I don’t read all my instructions before I start creating a challenge. I saw the link to the technique and went to work forgetting to check out what the Mash Up was for Holly’s challenge. I finished my card, and when posting it, I saw the Mash Up included using a die cut. Yea! I used the SU Little Letters Framelits so I was safe…whew!
SU Little Letters w Papillon Bokeh

This was my first attempt at this Bokeh technique, and the tutorial was fantastic. I modified it a bit using a circle stamp for the colorful circles after I watercolored the background. I followed the advice of the tutorial and made a stencil template out of acetate and used it to sponge in the white circles with SU White Craft ink. I am excited to try this again. Google “Bokeh stamping technique” and you will see some awesome cards done with this neat technique. I sure hope you will play along this week with us at The Friday Mashup!
