SU You’re Amazing

After a busy weekend with family, I had a few moments this morning to make a quick card for Freshly Made Sketches # 85. I wanted to get it done and posted since we are T-30 minutes from our road  trip  to tour law schools  my middle son was accepted to  and then onto Florida for my oldest son’s  law school graduation! Here is what I came up with using the colors from Fab Friday # 18 :

SU Word Play

I like to combine card challenges- it not only double challenges me but also gives me fresh new ideas to use for one challenge that I would not have thought of for another challenge. I was inspired by Jaydee’s shamrock over at The Paper Players this week to create a card for Pals Paper Arts # 153 Sketch Challenge  and SU Only Challenge #65 Going Green. I definitely knew that SU Gumball Green was the perfect color for a shamrock and “lucky” me that SU Print Poetry DSP  paper stack  had 3 designs in that color- perfect for Pals Paper Arts! I played around with creating shamrocks by cutting one out, folding the paper four times and cutting out a heart half way and none of these ideas cooperated with me and looked nice. So, in the end, I formed a shamrock from the small heart in the  Hearts-a-Flutter die set and jazzed it up with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and a Dahlia In Color button.
