SU Seasonally Scattered

SU Seasonally Scattered with Autumn Accents Bigz Die

Heidi and her creative young assistant have created a fun sketch and theme challenge

for us at the Friday Mashup # 177 this week.

FM177

Here’s your Mashup Challenge:
Create a project using the “Sketch.”
Create a project with “Leaves.”
or Mash it Up! and create a project with “Leaves using the Sketch.”

I have been so taken with the SU Seasonally Scattered stamp set and the Autumn Accent Bigz die. I have posted both elements on two different cards as of late. Oh, I hope it doesn’t bore you but just gives you some more ideas…

This card has the “Leaves” challenge covered but I am stretching the sketch challenge a bit too far though…Are you going to mash it up this week? I sure hope so!

Be sure to check out the cards the Design Team created for you this week at the

Friday Mashup.

For an embellishment, since Blackberry Bliss doesn’t come in candy dots, I made those little candy dots in the corner by putting Crystal Effects on some paper punched circles. SUO Challenges # 105 is asking us to feature an embellishment, and I just loved how these candy dots turned out as an embellishment!

SU Seasonally Scattered Thanks

I love the new SU Seasonally Scattered stamp set available for ordering tomorrow. It’s great when you can use a set for more than one occasion. You may have seen the “MERRY” and “LOVE” images floating around on blogs these days. I decided to play around with the “Thanks” stamp since it is timeless and Thanksgiving will be upon us before we know it. It is a pretty big stamp so it fills a page nicely- you only need to decide how to embellish it a bit. I decided to just border it with the Needlepoint Embossing Folders (still on the Clearance Rack) and scatter a few punched and pearled  Itty Bitty Accents flowers around the colorful image.

At the SU Convention this summer, we used a technique of inking up this stamp and then adding color with a sponge dauber. I used Crushed Curry all over the stamp and then daubed it with some Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive ink. I found the Blackberry Bliss ink  worked well with the Rich Razzleberry cardstock. I think it was darker and did not blend in as much as the with the Crushed Curry. I guess I could have used Blackberry Bliss cardstock but I picked up the Rich Razzleberry that matched perfectly and that’s how it went…

SU Seasonally Scattered Muliticolored thanks

The sun was shining brightly today- look how bright the Crushed Curry is -it looks like I enhanced it or something. But it just came out really bright even without a light turned on. Where is that sun when I really need it with dark colors?

It’s a Clean And Simple Card so I am sharing it with the gang over at Stampin’ Up Only Challenges # 104 who are asking for a CAS card this round.
