SU Apron Of Love with a Basket Weave Pie!

Have you seen any of the cards made using the Basket Weave Embossing Folder for a pie top?
They are just so cute! I remember when I got mine, my first thought was a lattice pie top.
As it kept popping up in blogland, I decided to use the idea on this card.

I used the pretty Tutti Frutti and Wood Textues 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Stacks to create
a rustic background for my Lemon Lime Twist apron. The smallest Stitched Shapes circle and the
new 1-3/8″ scallop circle punch made my cute little pie. I used a scrap of retired Real Red ribbon.

The apple image is found in the SU Picnic with You Bundle.
Seemed appropriate, don’t you think?

SU Picnic with You

I played around with the SU Picnic with You Bundle yesterday.
I am pretty proud of myself since it was one of the first bundles I ordered from
the Occasions catalog, and it only took me 2-1/2 months to get ink on it!!!

I was inspired by two great card challenge sites:

SU Apron of Love

Claire has a Valentine theme this week at The Paper Players # 379.

I think Valentine’s Day should be celebrated every day and in every way!
Let’s never miss an opportunity to share our love with a special thanks to a friend!

I made another checkered bottom on my card but this time with a white background! Just adhere five 3/4″ black squares to the bottom of the Whisper White 3-3/4″ x 5″ panel. I used a lot of the dies from the Apron Builder Framelits for this card- the apron, the neck strap, the waist ties, the oven mitt, the pockets, the baking utensils, the trim on the bottom of the apron, and even the hearts. What a super bundle! I think this card can be unisex, too. Add in those BBQ tools- the classic red and black fits both guys and gals! Just stamp DAD on the apron, and you have a Valentine for him or a Father’s Day card!

Those sweet little hearts go with the SU Only Challenges #193 Hearts a Plenty

SU That’s the Tag Bundle split up!

Mother’s Day is just a week away…time to get that Mother’s Day card done! If you have the SU That’s the Tag bundle, you are all set…if you don’t have it, you can get it now for a discount as it is retiring!

Yes, the bundle has been split so you get it for even a better price buying the thinlits called TIMELESS TAGS and the stamp THAT”S THE TAG separately.

I cut out a black daisy from a 3 1/4″ black square. I also cut out a yellow daisy from a 3″ yellow square and saved the middle of the flower. I glued a white piece of cardstock between the black and yellow square. I inlaid the black daisy cut out inside the yellow oval against the white cardstock. I glued the yellow middle into the black daisy. I also cut out the green leaves using the same daisy thinlit and inlaid the leaves into the black daisy. You could also die cut a blue sky to go around the daisy!

I die cut the butterflies out of some black card stock and glued each one onto the yellow square and added some pearls. On the inside, I just die cut the butterflies on the white and used the negative.

A simple card with a WOW but a little die cutting and puzzle piecing for you to do:)
