SU Be Merry

I just love Blue and Silver together so it was an easy decision for me to choose my + ONE with Midnight Muse this week at the Dynamic Duos # 81.

I also looooooove the SU Glimmer paper- it is so bright and dazzling on a card. I used it as a border around my white Stylish Stripes embossing folder that serves as a background for the SU Be Merry Tag decorated with a SU Festive Flurry snowflake. I masked off the to: and from: that is on the stamp at the bottom and replaced it with a bow made from the SU Midnight Muse Satin Stitched Ribbon and the 1/8 inch Silver ribbon. Don’t forget that the Satin Stitched ribbon is on the big Holiday Sale List;)

SU Joyful Christmas and Post Card Altered Item

It is amazing what one finds when packing for a move. I started to pull stuff out of my craft closet today for our move in a week and found these metal card/letter/bill holders I bought a few years back. I need some creative packaging for card gift giving so I altered it with the SU Joyful Christmas and Post Card stamp set. As the family visiting traipsed through my stamp room, they said they liked it- I hope you do as well!

A Little Muse…

I have not played along for a few weeks now with the Muse Card Club– a fun challenge site where YOU get to pick the cards that tickle your fancy. Life has been crazy busy but I was determined to submit this week! I have enjoyed The Muse Club because it has opened up a new avenue of inspiration for me. This week, Marion Vagg has a cute birdcage with a chalkboard effect on her card for the MUSE #44.

My friend Wendy and I were at a summer craft show a few years ago, and I just had to have this birdcage die so Wendy got it for me for Christmas! And…I made her save it until Christmas,too! I guess that showed a little crafting constraint. Fast Forward to now and I finally used it…thanks, girlfriend;)

I think you can see how Marion’s card inspired mine…I used my SU Boho Blossoms punch and the Bird Builder punch leaves to make my little bouquet. I popped the birdcage up off the card and it looks really sweet in person.The hubster said I should have put a bird in the cage, too but I had already finished the card. SU Endless Wishes

It’s a Triple Threat at Dynamic Duos this week- are you up to the challenge? I am sure you are, and I am looking forward to seeing your creation this week! Just create a project/card using the Dynamic Duos # 80 colors:

I used the SU Photopolymer set Endless Wishes- I just love the simple snowflakes and the endless sentiments that can be made with it. I adorned the CAS card with a few soft pearls to finish it off.
