Here’s Erica’s challenge this week at the Friday Mashup # 137:
1. Create a project with “Gingham.”
2. Create a project using “Kraft or Crumb Cake. ”
3. Or Mash it Up and create a project “with Gingham & Kraft.”
I went with red gingham on my card since the photo had red but you can choose any color gingham. I will be interested to see what you come up with for this challenge! Go on over to the Friday Mashup and check it out…
Here’s my card:
STAMPS: SU Kind and Cozy, SU Warmth and Wonder, SU Endless Wishes
INK: SU Real Red, SU Garden Green

TOOLS: SU Top Note Die, SU Woodgrain EF, SU Petals a Plenty EF ( for the red-I need to check on the name of that)
Here is a really old SU stamp set called Festive Fall. I always love the CAS designs I come across while blog-surfing. I do consider myself having a clean and simple style but often add a lot more to my cards. I wanted to just showcase the Colour Q # 216 colors cleanly on white with a simple stamped image this week- a More Mustard leaf, a Pumpkin Pie button and sentiment, a Bashful Blue swirl, and a Crumb Cake matting and twine- that covers it all.
Hello, friends! Busy, busy weekend but now it’s Monday, and I wanted to play along with a challenge . Freshly Made Sketches is one of my favorite sites with an awesome Design Team so I hopped over there to get one in under the wire. Here is the sketch- it leaves things wide open but at the same time…wide open!
I turned Sketch #112 upside down to have my arrows going in the direction my brain was thinking…I am in possession of limited supplies while traveling so here is what transpired:
STAMPS: SU Whimsical Words (retired), SU Oh, Hello
INK: SU Real Red, SU Basic Black
PAPER: SU Real Red, SU Basic Black, SU Whisper White
TOOLS: SU Hearts-a-Flutter and SU Hearts Framelits, SU Perfect Polka Dots EF
Sadly, it seems I have needed to make more of these cards lately…but as I make one I think how the simple gesture of a card at a time of loss can mean more to someone than the sender may ever know. As I prepared for my week, I thought I would post this card for the Dynamic Duos Black Tie Challenge # 79 of Black and Smoky Slate hoping it might inspire someone to make a card that is sometimes a challenge to come up with at the moment you need it.
On a lighter note…as I posted it on the Design Team site- I thought, “Wow, everyone went with a Christmas Theme this week.” Ahem, note to self: read the fine print- DESSERT OPTION of Christmas. However, let this be a sample of OPTION- I guess I opted out…lol. Will you choose the dessert option of Christmas when you play this week? I can’t wait to see what you come up with this challenge…Go on over and check us out at the Dynamic Duos Challenge Blogspot.
