SU Backyard Basics with Delightful Dozen

I was musing over Lisa’s inspiration card at the Muse Card Club Challenge #56

LISAHAINES

and the sketch at Pals Paper Arts # 193

ppa193

and a light bulb went off…both had a theme of three in them so I went to the designing board…here is what I came up with:

SU Backyard Basics Easter Card with butterfly

Card Recipe:
STAMPS: SU Backyard Basics, SU Delightful Dozen
INK: SU Calypso Coral, SU Daffodil Delight, SU Coastal Cabana
PAPER: SU Whisper White, SU Daffodil Delight, SU Coastal Cabana, SU Calypso Coral
ACCESSORIES: SU Pearls, SU Coastal Cabana Ruffle Trim Ribbon
TOOLS: SU Backyard Basics Framelits, SU Lattice EF

I am so thankful for the Backyard Basics Framelits that coordinate with the images in the set so no fussy cutting for me even if it was only an oval egg! Aren’t the images just lovely in this set? And this card only used the speckled egg which at first, I thought was a bit large but it worked out just fine for me! I am using this stamp set with its framelits a few different times this month with classes, design teams, and some card orders- I love it when I can use a  set in so many ways.

Here is a look at the stamp set which you can purchase as a bundle with the framleits at a 15% off discount if you wish. Add another stamp set on your wish list or stock up on some adhesives/ paper and you have a Sale-A-Bration order with a FREE item to pick and 3 BEE-ward points with my Customer Loyalty Program.

  2. These colours feel like Easter and spring to me! (not the white that I see outside my window right now!) Thanks for joining us at Muse this week!

  3. Cindy, this is so bright and beautiful. When looking at that stamp set, I always pictured those eggs speckled with brown, but the pastels are gorgeous! Thanks for joining us at Pals Paper Arts this week.

  4. Cindy, what a lovely, sweet springy Easter card. It is perfectly designed and executed. I especially love the shadowing you did behind the eggs with coordinating paper for the ink. Beautiful.

  5. I love your card! It’s so very springy and colorful! I love the embossed background with the pleated green ribbon. It’s like an Easter basket!

  7. Love these speckled eggs. Good for you for seeing them as other than brown. I will look at them differently now. 🙂 Thanks for playing along with the Pals Paper Arts challenge this week.

  8. What an adorable card, Cindy! It’s so clean and cute. I love the speckled eggs. The ruffled ribbon looks wonderful against the textured panel. Of course, the pearls accent the sentiment perfectly. Thanks for playing at Pals Paper Arts this week!

  9. Hi Cindy! Just saw this on the PPA Picks! Congratulations! It is such a gorgeous card. I love the colors that you used and the eggs, butterfly, embossing, ruffle ribbon all work so well together. This is one of the prettiest Easter cards that I’ve seen!
