I was pleasantly surprised to see the Paper Players Challenge # 203 this week had a BEACH theme since I was working on one of my class cards this week with the SU By the Seashore stamp set! I wanted to make sure we used it before summer had passed us by…
You will find a ton of cards when you google “waterfall card”- they have been around a long time! But my inspiration came from my friend, Linda Heller, at StampingSchool.com who used the scallop tag for the pulling mechanism on the card. It was easy to make but has a WOW factor to it. I used my SAB 2013 paper that seems to never deplete! I love the colorful bubbly print on the DSP that reminded me of the colors of the sea. I love how SU makes it so easy to create a card with its coordinating Designer Series papers, ink, cardstock and ribbons. I simply pulled out the colors from the DSP and went to town.
Card Recipe:
STAMPS: SU By The Seahorse, SU Remembering Your Birthday
INK: SU Calypso Coral, SU Island Indigo, SU Pool Party, SU Sahara Sand, SU Summer Starfruit, SU Tangerine Tango
PAPER: SU Tangerine Tango, SU Calypso Coral, SU Island Indigo, SU Pool Party, SU Whisper White, SU Summer Starfruit, SU Sycamore Street DSP (SAB 2013- retired)
TOOLS: SU Scallop Tag Punch
ACCESSORIES: SU Summer Starfruit Satin Stitched Ribbon (retired), random silver brads
Total wow card!
Awe, thanks, Linda! You made my day!
