SU Big News Wedding Close UP

Hello, friends! I have a fun fold card for you today that uses the colors LeAnne picked for

The Paper Players #244 this week.

I used the bold font image from SU Big News as the focal point on my fun fold card.

I embellished my card with some Sahara Sand 7/8″Lace Trim that is in new catalog and Lost Lagoon Stitched Satin Ribbon and the oh so pretty Something Borrowed DSP that are both retiring- available while supplies last. The Itty Bitty Accents flowers added a little fun, too.

To make the fold, you simply score your 4 1/4″ x 11″ card base at 5 1/2″ and 9″ and fold the flap over. Here are a couple of views:

With this flap measurement, you have plenty of room to jot a message  on the inside of the card while at the same time having a beautiful inside sentiment as a focal point as well.

As I was taking the first photo, I temporarily adhered the front flap down and thought, “Hmmm, you could just fold it back and permanently adhere it.” Another neat design element to remember!

So happy that the Big News stamp set is sticking around! It is a great All-Occasion set.

  2. Oooh, another one of those fun folds! I love it! And that paper is just delightful on a wedding card…oh so very pretty with the lace and ribbon! Thanks for participating in my color challenge this week, Cindy!

  3. What a great fun fold Cindy – a great way to make your card extra special. I love how you used the ‘Something Borrowed’ DSP to colour your base, which really allows the other two colours to pop on your focal sentiment. Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players this Week!
