There is a beautiful new bundle in the upcoming catalog with a very appropriate name-
it is called Serene Garden. It is so lovely.
I used it to make this sympathy card with the new soft colors of Soft Seafoam and Petal Pink.
I love this bundle not only for its images but also for the ability to cut them out with coordinating dies. But, the part I really love is the corner “embossing” die! Isn’t that just awesome? We have a new embossing mat coming out for the Big Shot that I just ordered- I wonder how different it will look when I use it?
The colors are subtle on this card as I wanted a soothing palette for a sympathy card but the popped up flowers add that little bit of texture and dimension to finish of the card. We also have a new All Occasion stamp set called Itty Bitty Greetings coming out that can stand in for the retiring Teeny Tiny Wishes (I love them both- two that are necessary in my stamping room). And…the little die from the Lakeside Framelits is just the ticket for cutting out the little sentiments! A few little pearls on the ends adds a little texture as well.
Thanks for buzzing by, friends…

Just beautiful! Love the soft colors and the embossing really adds elegance!
Why thank you, Anonymous!
Beautiful card Cindy. I love the soft colors and the design of your card. The corner embossing is a pretty touch.
Thanks, JoAnn. Knowing you like it means it passed the test:)
Love, love it
Such an elegant card, Cindy. These two colors are perfect together.
I am so glad you like it, Peg:) Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks, Sally. I really like the two colors together:)
Cindy – How did you do your embossed corner? You mentioned you didn’t have the new mat yet. Thanks in advance for letting me know.
Hello, Barb. I just put the die on the paper and ran through the Big Shot like it was a cutting die. I guess the directions say to have the paper on top of the die with the embossing side up but then I would not have been able to gauge the equal border around the corner? So, in the end..it looks good to me:)
Thanks Cindy – I don’t have this set yet but will give it a try. Your card is so pretty and so art deco! Makes for something clean and a bit different. Thanks so much… Barb
