April 2020 Paper Pumpkin “My Wonderful Family”

The April 2020 Paper Pumpkin “My Wonderful Family” has a beautiful stamp set it in!
The font is so trendy with all the family sentiments in it.

Here is a look at the full kit:

I made an alternate card with Granny Apple Green, Soft Suede and yes, some Pumpkin Pie!
I found some retired Halloween Candy Dots in my stash and adorned my tree with them.
So that’s how I got an orange tree…

It is hard to see but I embossed my Soft Suede Stitched Rectangle
with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.

The inside sentiment can be for ANY member family-
an aunt, uncle, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, niece, nephew, or cousin.

I just love how the Paper Pumpkin kits provide all the fun cards, envelopes, and embellishments, but you are always left with a super stamp set to be used over and over again…especially when you need just the right words!

Stampin’ Up! Everything Amazing Retiring In Colors 2018-2020

I wanted to give a farewell to our bold and bright retiring IN COLORS 2018-2020…
Is that Pineapple Punch a bright yellow or what??? It’s Electric!! Boogie, Woogie, Woogie!
I am going to miss Call Me Clover, Lovely Lipstick, Blueberry Bushel, and Grapefruit Grove.
Remember to pick up your ink refills for the ink pads and any extra packs of cardstock you want before they are gone.

 The Stampin’ Up! Everything Amazing is such a fun stamp set! This versatile stamp set is retiring, too! Take a look how cool it is- can be a birthday, friendship, or congratulations!

Stampin’ Up! Music from the Heart

I played around with the Stampin’ Up! Music from my Heart stamp set over the weekend.
I love how the Silver Foil Stitched Stars Dies added some pizzazz to this card!

The guitar was made by adding the neck of the guitar to the treble clef…isn’t that cool?
The stamp set is really a neat one- look at all the versatile sentiments and musical images.

I know ABSOLUTELY nothing about music so I am sure my notes are placed all crazy…lol.
I have the utmost respect for musicians!

The diagonal striped DSP is from a retired Neutrals Paper Stack (12 x 12) that had diagonal stripes/little flowers and polka dots/script in the stack. Any black and white pattern would work to give a backdrop for the guitar. If you make one, send me a pic!

Stampin’ Up! Daisy Lane and Daisy Delight

I got happy mail this week! I opened up a decorated envelope to see this absolute beauty!

Peg is one of my sweet friends I stamp with on Fridays each month. She is just one of the nicest people you could meet. She really knocked it out of the park with this gorgeous card. I love the white against the Pool Party that was cut with one of the beautiful Delicate Lace Dies. It is a perfect bottom layer to showcase the beautiful medium daisies from the Daisy Lane stamp set punched out with the Medium Daisy Punch. Using Smoky Slate ink to stamp the daisies was a great decision- it is so light and airy. The Smoky Slate ink worked so well with the Clear Faceted Gems. The use of vellum from the Frosted Bouquet  Dies added just the right touch with the Pear Pizzazz leaves from the Poppy Moments Dies. And the sweet sentiment from Well Written stamped on one of the Ornate Frames Dies is just so special to me:)

Another smile was put on my face this week when I received another pretty card from my friend, Carla Hess. She used the Daisy Delight and the Daisy Lane stamp sets. The  gray, black, and pink palette with embossed vellum leaves from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set are such a great combination. I love the layering of the two different daisies. The two daisy stamp sets look so nice together on Carla’s card. She decorated her envelope, too!

Stampin’ Up! Ornate Thanks with Ornate Style and Ornate Layers Dies

Although the NEW Release of the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Garden Suite is filled with beautiful Designer Series Paper, ribbon, an embossing folder, and two bundles; don’t be fooled into thinking you have to use everything at once from the Suite. To start my adventures with this Suite, I just picked out the largest of the Ornate Layers Dies and stamped the big floral image from the Ornate Style stamp set. I trimmed down the width of my card to 4-1/16.”

I die cut a portion of the floral image out with a Stitched Rectangle Die leaving some white space for visual appeal. I bordered the image with a larger Stitched Rectangle that I dry embossed with my Subtle Embossing Folder. It is hard to see in the photo but it’s just a little touch of teture. The whole panel fit wonderfully- or should I say LAYERED wonderfully- inside the largest Ornate Layers Die. I then embossed my sentiment from the Ornate Thanks stamp set with White Embossing Powder and cut it out and added pennant ends.

A simple stamped corner with a delicate sentiment that coordinates with the bolder THANKS on the outside finished off the inside of this CAS card.
I do have plans to color those bountiful blooms soon! So pretty!
