I was a artist a few weeks back…the Stampin’ Up! My Meadow made me feel like one, for sure:)
Can I say again how much I love the Stampin’ Up! Thanks for the Laughs stamp set!!!! This one will never leave my shelf even though it is retiring. I think it is one of the best sentiment sets I have….yes, I really do LOVE it!!!
I love the brightness of Poppy Parade. I am so glad we have Poppy Parade along with Real Red and Cherry Cobbler. So many times, I just need the perfect red…and I have three!
Ha! a stamp free card…only die cuts!!! This is a great card to let someone know you are thinking of them and missing them…shout out to all my peeps in PA and FLA- miss you terribly over the last two months! Praise the Lord for social media during this social distancing. Hugs to you all! Thank you for all the encouragement from blog followers who I know over the internet without even meeting face-to face…friends who make the day brighter!!
I wanted to start your week with a lovely Mother’s Day Card I got from a dear friend of mine, Linda Mriso. She surprised me with this beauty! Isn’t it just lovely?
I love the purple and pink with the gold. The largest of the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Layers Dies is embossed with the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder with the gold frame popping of the light background. Lin’s great design included a gold heat embossed sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set along with the flowers from the Ornate Style stamp set so perfectly placed on the right corner of the Stitched Rectangle.
Did you notice she corner rounded the Stitched Rectangle on the gold frame? It is such a neat detail. She added a couple Gilded Gems, too.
I forgot to take a pic of the Mother’s Day sentiment on the inside…it was so sweet:)
Yeah, I kinda like the Stampin’ Up! By the Dock Bundle…this time it became an easel card.
I used Seaside Spray for my blue on this card and a bright green Granny Apple Green. I think it really worked with the Night of Navy Frame and the So Saffron sun. Believe me when I tell you I sometimes try a lot of different colors to see which ends up to my liking. Frequently, I change it days later. I first had a Daffodil Delight sun but liked So Saffron better…no rhyme or reason…just liked it better. Do you ever do that?
Well, anyhoo, here’s a video showing how easy it is to make an easel card and some little tips using the Stitched Shapes and Rectangle Dies. Please forgive the shadows at the end of the video when my light went out…thankfully, the bulb was just loose in the socket. I should have just reached up to check it! But then it would have been hot… and I might have burnt myself…and my hands would have been compromised…and maybe I could not stamp for awhile…and we would not want that to happen!
So, what about the boat? Are you Team Crumb Cake or Team Real Red?

I am loving the Stampin’ Up! By the Dock Bundle!
The Balmy Blue Nested Label really pops off the Neutrals Soft Suede and Crumb Cake.
The Birch Background Stamp made for a quick and easy backdrop for the die cut collage on the nested label. I just love the oars with the boat…and I had to add in that jumping frog!
I did trim my front Granny Apple Green grass a little to layer nicely:)
So excited By the Dock will be returning in the NEW Annual Catalog
but it will not be bundled at a 10% discount like it is now.
