I have a fun take on the Buckle Technique using the Stampin’ Up Gather Together Bundle.
Don’t you just love the Copper with the Designer Series Paper on the card?
Remember my other Gather Together card where I distressed the Copper Foil?
Well, here is how I did it:
A simple distressing of the foil gives a WOW to the focal point on this card!
The “Wishing you well” sentiment is great to use as a cheer up or a get well card:)
I love the open leaves from the Detailed Bands Dies- a great accent to finish off the focal point.
Card Base: 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 5-1/2″ on the 8-1/2″ side
Very Vanilla inside: 4″ x 5-1/4″
Merry Merlot Circle: 2-1/4″
Cajun Craze for maple leaf” 3″ square
Merry Merlot belt: 5-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ scored at 1/2″ on the 5-1/2″ side
Copper border: 2-3/4″ x 4″ (cut out your leaves from here)
Copper Strip for open leaves: 1″ x 4-1/2″ (save the leaf pop outs for pumpkins:)
DSP on flap: 2-1/2″ x 3-3/4″, on belt: 1-1/4″ x 5″
Finally got out my Gather together Bundle this week!
Oh, this was so hard to photograph! My copper foil leaves are distressed on the veins with a sanding block. The dull silver left behind is a nice match with the wood pattern in the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper and the silver metallic pearls. I added in some loops of Linen Thread to add some more texture around the pumpkins. I love how the sentiment can be used for a Get Well Wishes and not just a “hoping you are doing well” card.
It’s Fall…and I am blessed to get to enjoy the crisp mornings/evenings and sunny afternoons (and drizzly days, too) of Pennsylvania this week. In the spirit of fall, here is a sweet autumn card I made using the Stampin’ Up Tidings All Around Bundle and the Country Home Stamp Set.
Of course, the retired Hardwood Background Stamp is a constant designing companion in my stamping room especially in the fall. I bet the Birch Background would look fabulous, too. However, when I opened my Crumb Cake drawer, a panel was already stamped in there so it was the choice! Thanks, Satomi Wellard from Japan, for the inspiration for this card:)
Happy Labor Day!
I know we are trying to hold onto summer but my stamping mood was on fall this weekend. Maybe the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper on my craft heap had something to do with the fall mood;)
I pulled out the versatile Colorful Seasons stamp set with its Seasonal Layers Dies.
I forgot what a FANTASTIC bundle that is!
The 2019 Holiday Catalog goes LIVE on Wednesday, September 4! Get your wish list ready…I know I have mine:)
