SU Garden in Bloom Calendars with Merry Medley Packaging

December 8, 2016

Looking for a sweet little gift to give to those who touch your life? How about a calendar they look at frequently and know that you care for them! I made these calendars for my wonderful group of stamping friends. I picked a sentiment from SU Garden in Bloom that I wanted them to read a lot.

“Hope you’re feeling special today…because that’s just what you are!”

Of course, the little BEE is ME reminding them each day!

I am blown away by how blessed I am to have met so many delightful women through my classes…such dear gals I truly cherish! I look so forward to seeing them each month and keeping in touch in between- love you all bunches!!!

The flowers are from the SU Botanical Builder Framelits- my daughter helped me die cut them! Thank you, Sarah:)

These calendars are a standard A2 size (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) with a stand up mechanism adhered inside on the bottom the card. See the photo below for dimensions. I found it easiest to put adhesive on the inside bottoms of the card base and then adhere the easel mechanism one side at a time lining it up against the edge. I love how they stand up so nicely with the easel.

I even had a friend email me a pic of her calendar sitting by her computer:)

I packaged the calendar gifts in SU Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bags stamped with the amazing SU Merry Medley Background stamp, SU Layering Ovals, and some retired  Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler DSP punched with the retired SU Tree Punch. These bags are perfect for an A2 card- I even folded back the top 1″ of the pinked bag top so it is even a bit bigger to accommodate other treats!

SU Timeless Textures, Botanical Builder, and Large Numbers

June 2, 2016

Today is a milestone…yes, I am a half a century old today!!!

Seriously, when did that happen?

One of my sweet, sweet friends, Lin, helped me celebrate with this absolutely gorgeous card. I wanted to share it with you all since I was so impressed with her use of great Stampin’ Up products: the Timeless Textures stamp set, the Botanical Blooms Framelits, and of course, the Large Numbers Framelits displaying a BOLD  50!
And, I love the sentiment from the SAB 2016 set- Botanicals for You:)

SU Playful Pals and #3 Craft Project Central April 2016

April 7, 2016

My mother-in-law asked if I “might” have an elephant baby shower card…

Well, let me see what I can come up with I told her…

I saw more than a few cards on Pinterest showing this cutie-pa-tootie elephant peeking through leaves. I played around with the SU Playful Pals stamp set and its coordinating Pyramid Pals framelits, the Botanical Builders framelits with the Botanical Blooms stamps, and added some Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper and made this lickety-split.

SU Playful Pals with Botanical Blooms Elephant

I just LOVE the sentiment from SU Suite Sayings. This stamp set is a GREAT one to cover a lot of needs in cardmaking. Just this week, I used three of the sentiments on a baby card, a wedding card, and a graduation card, not to mention an Easter card recently.

I see a Mother’s Day card in the making, too.

Take a look at all the messages:

SU Suite Sayings with Botanical Builder Framelits

SU Suite Sayings with Botanicals Fern die

I wanted to share this CAS card using the SU Botanical Builders Framelits.
Boy, that set of framelits is amazing…

Screen Shot 2016-02-21 at 1.21.15 PM

I used just one stamp from the SU Suite Sayings stamp set. Imagine making a bunch of these cards and adding sentiments as you need them…sympathy, birthday, thank you.
*I was inspired by Linda Heller’s “white flower design on white” at our meeting:)

If you pay close attention to all the sentiments- you will see a lot of the fonts coordinate with other sets in both the Occasions catalog and the Annual catalog.
I liked how this particular sentiment matched the fern die cut.

I am sharing this card with those playing along at The Card Concept # 49  Floral Radiance. I consider it CAS since it is uncluttered with lots of white space, limited layers, and quick to create. I was inspired by the top color in the photo since it was “minty” and matched one of the colors showcased in the SU It’s my Party Enamel Dots!
