Here is another fun Valentine we made at our Stamp Camp Luncheon this month using the SU Crazy Mixed Up Love set. I used the colors at the Dynamic Duos Black Tie Challenge #87 using Melon Mambo… and you can even add a dessert option of an umbrella! I was going to use the SU Rain or Shine set with the umbrella and thought some of my design team members might use it….well, it turns out I could have used it. This card is for all of my stamping gals who came out last week for our 1st Annual Stamp Camp Tea Luncheon…I LAVA YOU! I am just so blessed to know each and every one of you. I wish all my blogging friends could have shared in the day as well- I guess in a way you are since this is one of the cards we stamped together at the luncheon;) I thought this was a fun card to spotlight for Heidi’s Friday Mashup #143 challenge this week:

Create a project using the Colors “Coastal Cabana, Real Red & Crumb Cake.”
Create a project using “Hearts & Arrows. “
Or Mash it Up and create a project using “the above colors along with Hearts & Arrows.”

Ok, I am considering the DSP design to be arrows- yeah, that’s my story and I am sticking with it!

Imagine my surprise when I hopped over to Pals Paper Arts #188 and found Margaret’s sketch challenge this week that fit right in with this card!

SU Crazy Mixed Up Love

I have fallen in love with the SU Crazy Mixed Up Love stamp set! It has such neat little ideas for Valentine’s Day or year-round sharing of some love. I played along with Pals Paper Arts # 185 Sketch Challenge to make this CAS Valentine.

I used the luxurious SU Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon along with the Artisan Label Punch to come alongside the sweet little bee image.

Isn’t it funny how we find images of bees so adorable but fear them like crazy?

I used my Stampin’ Write markers to color my stamp image and punched out the little heart from the SU Owl Punch to add a pop of color to the bee wings. I also built up a black layer around the Artisan Label by simply punching out two and cutting each in half in opposite deirections. I then just adhered the four halves to each side of the Crushed Curry label. And, how could I not use the SU Honeycomb Embossing Folder?
