SU Flower Frenzy Magnetic Note Holder

Here is a fun way to organize a messy… um- well-used desk. I made a desktop bulletin board from a wire paper holder from Office Max (for approx. 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper). I used some retired black and white DSP with a subdued yet trendy background and popped some colorful flowers stamped from the Flower Patch stamp set.I stamped the NOTES from a retired SU stamp set called Metro Style Alphabet but ANY alphabet  stamp set or die cut letter would work for this project.

Look at these cool images you can choose from to create various flower combinations…

The bright flowers  are a cinch to die cut with the coordinating Flower Fair Framelits! I put magnets on the back of the flowers with the black border so I can pop a note on my wire desktop bulletin board! I am thinking this would be a great teacher gift, don’t you think?

It would be like you are giving the teacher flowers all year!

SU Flower Patch with SU Dotty Angles

Monday Greetings to you all!

SU Flower Patch with Dotty Angles

I played along with ColourMe Challenge # 67 this morning. Just a simple card using the SU Flower Patch stamp set with its coordinating framelits.

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches # 182, too. Playing along or just using the suggestions from challenges gives me fresh ideas when I am stumped with what to do with my stamps, paper, and ink!

SU Petal Potpourri Gift Card Holder

February 2, 2015

I just got back from an awesome Stampin’ Up Leadership Conference in Orlando.
It was packed with inspiration, friends, and fun!
We were all given this cool bag to tote all of our goodies!

Here is my pal, Debbi Muche, who was “one” of my babysitters for the event…

and my upline Linda Heller and my up, upline Mari Fredericks…

And, yes, I even had the pleasure of meeting up with Brian King, too! My hubby had to leave a bit early because of a flight the next morning, and I got to sit beside Brian on the way home from the Managers reception and dazzle him with my interesting conversation even though he was texting Linda that the lady sitting next to him would not shut up…LOL.

Here is one of the swaps I created to share with other demonstrators who attended.

I think this project wins the prize for using the MOST SU items!

SU Petal Potpourri Gift Card Holder Slanted

I used the Gift Card Envelope and Trim Thinlits, which is a carry-over product from the Holiday Catalog, and the Large Polka Dot embossing folder to make the gift card holder- super simple.  I used the new super cool  B.Y.O.P. stamp set for the sentiments on the outside and inside. The outside sentiment was die cut with the Project Life framelits, and the upper inside sentiment was die cut from the Word Bubbles framelits. The B.Y.O.P. is a seriously versatile stamp set that serves the need we all have for giving gift cards.

SU Petal Potpourri Gift Card Holder Inside

I stamped the flower from the new Petal Potpourri stamp set, and punched it out with ease using the new Flower Medallion coordinating punch (that also works with the new Crazy About You stamp set.) The leaf comes from the Flower Patch stamp set that also has matching framelits! What could go better with the focal flower than the Flowerpot DSP? I pulled all the colors for the swap from that DSP- Lost Lagoon, Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Garden Green and Night of Navy.

I decided to hold it together in the back with some Crushed Curry Sale-a-bration ribbon that you can get FREE with a $50 order during SALE-A-BRATION 2015!
Oh, and the cute little button is also from the SAB Ribbon/Button Accessory Pack.

SU Flower Patch

It’s Friday! This week went by super fast but I think summer months just fly by, don’t you? Or maybe it was all the stamping I did this week and the Stampin’ Up convention coming up next week! I did get my card done for Lisa’s Friday Mashup # 168 summer themed color challenge so I am happy.

Here’s your Mashup Challenge:
Create a project using the colors” Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon & Mossy Meadow.”
Create a project with a “Summer” theme (Beach, Picnic, Swimming, etc.)
or Mash It Up! and create a “Summer project using the colors above.”

I finally pulled out my Flower Patch Photopolymer stamp set with its coordinating framelits. I only scratched the surface with three of the stamps in this set, too. I also tried my hand at the new “thread/twine” trend I have been viewing online. It gave a little boost to my card. I am looking forward to adding some more of this design embellishment on future projects but this was my first attempt, and we all need to start somewhere! I added a teensy bit of elegance with the rustic twine by scattering some pearls on the card.
