SU Hearts a Flutter

I love you…

I used retrosketches # 59 to create this card for CASology’s # 40 cue word- WORD. I was also inspired by Marion Vagg’s  MUSE Card #13 with the element of three across the top of her card with the sentiment underneath. THREE WORDS that I think the most important word(s) we need to use, and we all love to hear are -I love you! I try to make it a priority to tell my family members and friends often that I love them. With the sadness going on in the world today, we need to let others know they are loved.

SU Hearts-A-Flutter

The Friday Mashup #103 asks for a project/card that uses lined paper in it- to “celebrate” tax time coming up…lol. I used some of my stash of lined black notebook paper again, a cute stamp from Fiskars, and of course- the versatile, sweet SU Hearts-A-Flutter stamp set and coordinating dies.  I mashed it up by distressing the edges of the pink with the SU Distressing Tool and smudging up some of the stark white of the hearts and edges of the pink with SU Pastels black chalk. This card could be for a wedding or anniversary.

SU You Are Loved for Freshly Made Sketches #72

I recently purchased some gorgeous ribbon off the SU Clearance Rack and got to use it on the FMS #72 this weekend. I loved the Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla combo so added some pretty hearts from the Hearts-a-Flutter framelits and the SU hearts dies. I popped on a cute little heart button I didn’t know I had when I was scrounging through my red button jar:) I had some leftover corrugated cardboard from a project my daughter did at least 8 years ago in junior high and used it for one of the hearts! I just have to post her ship cause I cannot let go of it…

Anyhow, here’s my card:

SU Two Tags Die isn’t just for Christmas…

I love all the holidays and the sweets that go along with them! With Valentine’s Day right around the corner…there are such cute treats popping up all over the Papercrafting World. You have probably seen a lot over the past week  and this post won’t be any different. I saw this cute little lollipop holder at Leadership Conference last month. I am sorry I could not get the name of who made the particular one I saw but I have been seeing them everywhere;) I decided these would be perfect favors for Stamp Camp tonight and tomorrow so I used the colors from Dynamic Duos #38 this week to create them.

LOVE is in the Air at The Paper Players…

Love is definitely in the air all over the crafting/blogging world…isn’t it wonderful? My heart flutters each time I use this SU set with cooridinating dies that are so easy to use. I jazzed this card up from a quick one I made a month ago that was very simple when I was first playing around with the new set. I love the changes- the white ink on red and the embellishments on the banners made a brand new, improved look in my opinion;) Although I have only used it for valentines thus far- I can see it’s adaptability for other themes like weddings, birthday banners, and more!
