SU Indescribable Gift Spring Easter Card

March 6, 2015

We made these pretty pop-up Z- fold Easter cards at class this week using the SU Indescribable Gift stamp set. You will see this fun folded card all over the web by many crafters so to credit the  actual originator is hard to do…

I love this versatile stamp that is definitely perfect for Easter but so many other occasions like birthday, sympathy, thank you…

  • The Pink Pirouette card base is a portrait A2 card (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) with a die cut opening. On this card, it is a 3 1/4″ square framelit. You could use any shape.
  • The folded stamped Whisper White inside is 5 1/4″ x 6″ scored on the longer 6″ side at 2″ and 4″. My upline Linda Heller figured out these measurements. Once you stamp it, adhere the last 2″ section onto the right side of the inside of the Pink Pirouette. Now, you simply accordion fold the two other sections, and close the card.
  • Now you will see the white portion on the right side of the opening on the front. Put adhesive on the white part and adhere the front stamped and bordered image.
  • On this card, I made the black border 3 1/4″ square to correspond with the square opening I die cut with the framelit. The next smaller pink border is a 3″ square and then the white stamped image is a 2 3/4″ square.

I decided to share this Spring Easter card with the folks at

The Paper Players for Laurie’s Spring Challenge # 234.

Happy Friday, friends!

You can tell by Sara’s Friday Mashup 193 that spring is on her mind

during this cold winter season!

But then, we who live in the north are ready for spring once Christmas is over!

This week’s Mashup Challenge is:

Create a project with the “Triple Layer Technique” Tutorial HERE.

Create a project that’s “Floral.”

or Mash it Up! and create a “Floral Triple Layer Project.”

I was playing around with some new stamps from the Occasions catalog and decided a card I made for my Stampin’ Brunch fit in with the FLORAL theme.

I stamped the Indescribable Gift floral image and heat embossed it with Iridescent Ice inspired by a card I saw by Sharon Burkett who used a sentiment from the Butterfly Basics on a white card base background. I liked how the pink card base coordinated with the flowers. I love how the Iridescent Ice takes a CAS card a step up. I actually think I could have flipped the image so the branch was coming down from the top left corner like it is on the stamp case. But, I guess I will next time:)
