SU Inspired by Nature

SU Inspired by Nature Vintage

I just love all the vintage style I see everywhere but have never really attempted to make a card that way. Last night I thought I would give it a try. I looked for a background with words stamped and found one, again, that has never been inked! I added the largest image I had which was SU Inspired by Nature and stamped over the words. I added some watermarks from a stamp we got at Leadership in the Paper Pumpkin kit. I distressed the edges with the SU Distressing Tools and sponged the edges.  I used Tui’s Freshly Made Sketches # 75 turned a quarter to the left that made it into a portrait card.  I had a beautiful ribbon/seam binding in my stash that matched the colors along with a SU Vintage brad, and this is what transpired:

SU Inspired by Nature

I was inspired….by nature and by Colour Q # 177 this week when I made this card. I loved the color picks, and when I saw  SU Always Artichoke I immediately thought of leaves. This, in turn, brought me to one of my favorite retired SU stamp sets Inspired by Nature. Since the image is markered and resembles watercoloring, I thought the texture of dry embossing would be fun to do.
