SU Just Sayin’

SU Weekly Deals 10/28 through 11/3

Hello everyone!

Here are the Weekly Deals

Tuesday, October 28 through Monday, November 3…

Weekly Deals 10:28 - 11:3

A few tidbits on the Word Bubbles Framelits:

The SU Just Sayin’ stamp set coordinates with the Word Bubbles framelits.

Here is a card I used one on that was trendy and artsy:

On my Lego card below, I used a Word Bubble framelit

with another stamp set called Remembering Your Birthday.

This shows how you can use the framelits with other sets you have in your collection.

I am always looking for die cut shapes to cut out sentiments, and I found that the Word Bubbles framelits can be used as a “shape” by just trimming off the tail. So, even if you are not into the trendy coordinating stamp set, the framelits are a versatile product and now at a discount!

I also love the Large Scallop Edgelit- so easy to use- just place it on your paper with the magnetic plate and run it through the Big Shot. Here is a sample that shows how it can add a simple yet eye-catching touch to a card design:

Avery has a technique for us to try this week at the Friday Mashup # 179.

And…it comes with a Mashup challenge using the colors

Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, and Crushed Curry.

Here’s your Mashup Challenge:
Create a project with “Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry & Basic Black.”
Create a project with the “Ink Blowing Technique”. Link to technique here.
or
Mash it Up! and create a “Project using the colors above & the Ink Blowing Technique.”

I was busy prepping for upcoming classes but knew I had to sit down and get my card done for this challenge!  Much to my surprise..it was done in seconds with the help of the SU Just Sayin’ stamp set and its coordinating framelits. Of course, my toughest critic- my 22 year old daughter- said, “this is my favorite card you have made in a long time… I am not into all that fussy stuff.” Well, at least she was happy!

I do believe I will use this technique again since it is really easy and trendy. You could do a lot of different designs with it. I am really curious to see what is in the gallery this week. You guys and gals always amaze me with your talent.

Thanks for playing along at the Friday Mashup!
