SU Simple Stems with Four You

Sara has a sketch challenge for us this week and a chance to “ombre” it up with the

1. Create a project using the “Sketch”.

2. Create a project with the “Ombre’ Background Technique”.

3. Or Mash it up and create a project an “Ombre’ Background & The Sketch”

I have to confess I read ombre background and forgot to watch the tutorial. Don’t forget to watch it! We would love to see what you come up with this week.

I did do an ombre background with my sketch though! I chose three similar colors- Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, and Pool Party. This was tricky to photograph with the tilted frame- every which way I took the picture, it looked wonky but in person- it is bright and symmetrical…lol.

I have been wanting to use the Secret Garden Framelits with the new SU Simple Stems, and this week’s Subtly Yours Challenge # 93 at the Dynamic Duos gave me the perfect opportunity. I also had design inspiration from Freshly Made Sketches #126 this week.

SU Simple Stems with SU Hardwood and SU Too Kind

Hello, friends! I tucked in tonight after running around like crazy in the freezing temperatures all day…brrrrrrrr. I cozied up with some new posies from the SU Occasions Catalog. I have been itching to use the new SU Hardwood stamp so I used it as a background with the sweet sentiment from SU Too Kind. Ever play around so long with a card and nothing comes together? That is what happened with this card…I just couldn’t get what was in my mind onto my card so I just finished it and moved on…I did use the colors from ColourQ # 225 this week as inspiration.
