to see some of these tools in use:
Here are a few samples I created using the Happy Hearts Embossing Folder:
Here are a few cards I made with the Star Framelits:
The samples below use the retired Petal Potpourri stamp set
but you could substitute the flower in the SU Crazy About You stamp set or just use the Flower Medallion punch with plain cardstock or vellum to make pretty flowers.
And here is a Valentine I did a few years back for the Paper Crafters Sampler
showcasing the “Classy Designer Button”:

Did you see the cute theme over at The Paper Players Challenge # 261 this week? Sandy wants us to show some Lunchbox Love! I just saw the challenge and immediately thought of SU Pictogram Punches- You’re a Star! I have to sneak this in one of my awesome adult kids’ lunch bag or briefcase. I am so proud of each one of them- they have worked sooooo hard and continue to each day. It feels like it was just yesterday that they were homeschooling with me!
My card is a little under 5″ square. The little star cut outs were done with a die from the SU Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. I used a retired Chalk Talk framelit to cut out the sentiment. It is a long framelit so I cut it down to fit the size of the message:)
The star framelits are soooo cool! I used them on Christmas cards to cut out the SU Bright and Beautiful stamp set and loved how “professional” they looked. With the hundreds of cards in my stamp room, I had to make some Congrats cards on the spot this weekend when someone asked for some because I had none in my stash! So, now I have one waiting to be sent to celebrate someone’s good news thanks to the SU Bravo stamp set and the Star framelits.
You can easily die cut the stars and layer them or you can “inlay” them for another fun accent. I layered my white star on the Night of Navy star then, inlaid my Tangelo Twist inside the White star and finished it off by layering the Night of Navy star on the Tangelo star. I added a few simple scattered confetti stars from the SU Star Border punch.
I am running a special on the Star Framelits and the coordinating SU stamp sets
Many Merry Stars, Bright and Beautiful, and Be the Star.
